Black Activists Praise Trump’s Economic Policies, Claim He Has Been Far Better Than Obama
Black activists from Project 21, a âBlack Leadership Network,â have praised President Trumpâs economic policies that have brought jobs to their community, calling the results the opposite of what happened under President Obama.
Cooper: News âJust Keeps Getting Betterâ For Black Americans
Project 21 praised President Trumpâs policies in a press release on Thursday, claiming that the policies have âbrought back jobs â particularly in black communities â after businesses were devastated earlier this year by COVID-19 lockdowns.â
Horace Cooper, the chairman of Project 21, said that the news âjust keeps getting betterâ in regards to the economy.
âThe free-market policies of President Trump have lowered the unemployment rate at the fastest level in history! The jobless rate dropping from nearly 15% to under 7% in less than a year is stunning.â

Cooper noted that the economic success of President Trump now far surpassed that of President Obama.
The unemployment rate is now lower than it was in his first term, and with black Americans leading those gains, which was âthe exact opposite of the experience of the Obama years.â
âUnemployment continues to decline fastest for those who need jobs the most right now â black Americans, Hispanics and other minorities,â said Project 21 member Donna Jackson.

âThese positive jobs numbers represent another example of the Trump Administrationâs commitment to the black community.â
A Stark Difference From What Liberals Say Is Happening
The positive experience of black Americans on the ground in their daily lives, improved by President Trumpâs steady hand and his free-market economic policies, is in sharp contrast to what liberals claim is happening to the black community.
You have CNN hosts like Jake Tapper, just as an example, who attacks President Trump as a racist.
Ironically, in one such instance, former Obama aide and real-life communist Van Jones had to rise in Trumpâs defense and his record with the black community.Â
âI think itâs really unfortunate because Donald Trump, and I get beat up by liberals every time I say it but I keep saying it, he has done good stuff for the Black community,â Jones told Tapper in October.
âOpportunity Zone stuff, Black college stuff, I worked with him on criminal stuff, I saw Donald Trump have African American people, formally incarcerated, in the White House, embraced them, treated them well,â he continued.

And then you have white liberals acting as gatekeepers for black Americans.
Jason Whitlock, the conservative sports commentator, said that white liberals are âimposing mental slaveryâ on black Americans.
âIf you donât stick to a liberal point of view, on all issues, youâre kicked out of the black race,â Whitlock said.
âYou donât have the freedom. Every other group in this country has the right, the freedom, [to say] I want to be conservative, I want to be liberal, I want to be libertarian⊠everybody else gets to do that but us.â
The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.
