  • I bought a backdrop stand from amazon for about $30 bucks and some fabric from Joann’s, you can even use a pretty sheet. And so now my beauty videos and photos look a bit more professional. I leave it open and ready so whenever I film I don’t have to worry about setting up.

  • Thank you Trena – appreciated the video! e.g. I didn't really think of the topic of lighting as being something wich could make or break video quality for someone in their earlier video work days. Thank you Trena Raza =)

  • Sorry to say, but I can absolutely not recommend the Rode Mic. There are cheaper an better mics that do not spike at higher frequencies. Especially if you have a high-pitched voice, I recommend looking at the spectrum of the mic. (As a woman, a good, not too spiky recording can really help to come across more relaxed and confident…). There are awesome videos on YouTube that compare the competing products, so I won't get into that. I just wanted to get this off my chest, because I had 2 mics from Rode already, and I actually did a "downgrade" price-wise and was repaid in sound quality. I'm also a physicist and not afraid of tech reports, and I want to encourage especially women to get into the tech details. I think it can make a big difference. However, IMHO Rode does have great extras, but the sound is not their unique selling point and completely over-hyped…
