  • I’d love to do a crayfish boil (what we call them in the U.K.) but they are so expensive here. Litteraly 4-5 times the price you mentioned. Be cheaper to do lobster almost hah. Gonna organise a big seafood boil though will crab, prawns, lobster etc. Should be great.

  • Malcolm, just in case none of your family or good buddies has told you this…you married up my friend!
Love the Mud-Bug roundtable, Unfortunately we had to cancel our annual boil this year too.
I came across a great video from FrogBone seasonings, they steam crawfish in just couple inches water with a few beers for about 4-5 minutes.
use a separate soak pot to season, 20-25 minutes. I tried this last week and it was the best batch of crawfish I have ever made, clean, well seasoned and tender.
Try some sweet potatoes and pineapple in it next time, awesome.
My buddy Bryant's dippin sauce is mayo, ketchup, hot sauce, horseradish, grainy mustard…it's amazing
We made some cajun pasta with our leftover tail meat.

Thanks for the BBQ talk show

  • thank you Malcom, I am new to bbq and smoking, but i have watched all your videos to learn how to do it, I have spent a lot of money on smokers and grills, please keep up the great job. You are my BBQ god

  • Great video, y'all. Super informative and quite inspiring, honestly. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now… I've got a handful of recipes for spice rubs and sauces of my own, even placing 8th in Sauce at Hogs for the Cause in 2018. I love doing bbq, and have actually been debating on doing something like this myself for a while now, so this was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for the honest advice and info. I've enjoyed watching your YouTube videos for a while now, and I am shamelessly envying all your rigs as of late! Will def check out Swine Life's channel, as well now… Who knows? Maybe, one day, I'll be fortunate enough to score an invite to a podcast or cooking demo to talk bbq with you! 😏 We all can dream, right? 😉Keep up the great content, all!! Stay safe!✌🏼

  • 57:25. I and most people would prefer to watch it on Youtube for whatever reason. So even thought I see it on FB, I'll hop on over to Youtube and watch it there.

  • Love your channel Malcolm! Only bad part is knowing I can’t eat any of the food! 😫😫😫

  • Born and raised in New Orleans and trust me you guys are way overthinking the crawfish boil. Cooking the veggies with the crawfish adds so much more flavor to the meat plus the veggies taste better. No need to make them separately Also neveer once used ice or tried to cool down a pot and have never had peeling problems. Just make sure u dont overcook them and you'll be fine.

  • Awesome podcast! Always enjoy them

  • Awesome videos/podcasts, the recipes I have tried came out amazing, keep on doing what you do, lots of folks in California watching!

  • vegas is the only place you can get a million people together

  • Love the podcast, watch every week. IMO your keywords should be How to BBQ Right & Malcom Reed every week. We have a bbq space at work with at least 1000 ppl in it, and pretty sure all know who you are and are loyal fans

  • Malcom, next time you and Mark cook some crawfish you should try quartering up a few heads of cabbage to cook with the sausage and potatoes. We have been doing this for years down here in south Mississippi. Best cabbage you will ever eat. Great podcast like always!
