• I would kinda love to get stuck into Starkey as we say…like really challenge him on things he might say which perhaps I disagree with…the only problem is he knows so much more than I ever will :-(. My only worry though is I'm not sure as he is an older man and quite new to the social media format…whether he fully realises the extent to which he might be vilified and attacked by the woke mob.

• Something has gone very seriously wrong with a society when an individual as distinguished and as intelligent as David Starkey is cancelled and at the same time a nasty, drug addled thug is lauded by an entire establishment. It's not only utterly perverse, it's heart breaking.

• David Starkey used to be "woke" 😉 He helped to run the Tory Campaign for Homosexual Equality in the 1970s. At the time, that was considered the woke of its day. Just shows, sometimes social change is good. It depends on the issue. People should not become tribal about these things.

• David Starkey can talk the hind legs of a donkey and for most people who do, just irritates and I just want to get away from them BUT he is the only person who I could listen to all day. He never shows off, and if it is the case will be honest about him self i.e. not good at Maths, he simply states facts and has the art of making it interesting and giving a logical and balance opinion on those facts. Really please, he is back on YouTube and I, for one, will be subscribing.

• I left Facebook this month.
  Because 50% of the content is either adverts or planted media stories that I have been trying otherwise to avoid. I was sad to think that a place to share pictures and memories, and a programme that had allowed me to learn a new language, and to talk to people all over the world……. had now deteriorated to the point of being worse than American daytime television. I said goodbye to my friends but was that guy I met in Africa 15 years ago really a friend?
  The walls are going up again all over the world. And the attacks on those like David Starkey show a dark time to come for all of us now. Go for it David until they cancel you.

• What a brilliant interview. I too studied History but my specialist subjects were the Industrial Revolution. Something the woke are now ashamed of. I think Davids channel will be very good. I find him so easy to listen to and a great orator.

• I definitely won't be subscribing to his channel. For all his intelligence, Starkey is a raving, naive, deluded modernist and quite plainly talks a lot of shit entwined in verbosity. I'm out of here.
