1:00 – Create videos that people are searching for. When you start your YouTube Channel, no one is really going to know you, so you need to use keyword research to be able to be found on YouTube. Create videos using the Adwords Keyword tool, or the Google and YouTube search bars and use them as a guide as to what videos to create.

2:10 – Create your videos! This may seem obvious but there are many people out there – usually older – who are afraid of what people think, and stuff like that. Just create your video and get going. This is the fastest way to get going with your YouTube channel and you can always improve from there.

3:20 Keep improving on your videos. This follows from the previous step. No matter how good or bad your videos are to start, as long as you’re improving the quality, that’s important. Look at what others are doing and add that to your videos. As you get more money, then you can get better equipment and improve things even further. The more you look at improving things, the more Subscribers you’ll get.

4:18 Be Consistent. This is VITAL to the success of your YouTube Channel. Commit to a schedule and stick to it. YouTube looks at your upload schedule as part of WatchTime and uploading regularly at the same time each week/month, etc is very very important to your success.

5:42 Be Persistent. As well as being Consistent, you need to persist to be a successful YouTube Channel. There’s lots of competition out there and lots of people who’ve been doing things for a while. That doesn’t mean that you can’t be one of them. Persist with creating great content and you will eventually become a success.

6:36 Promote yourself everywhere. You have to be the one to promote your YouTube Channel as it’s not YouTube’s job to do so. Put your videos on all social media, Reddit, Tumblr, etc – everywhere you can. The more you get out there, the more people will have an opportunity to see your videos, watch them and eventually become a Subscriber.

7:33 Connect and Collaborate with other YouTubers. Collabs are a very fast way to promote your YouTube Channel and get more Subscribers from similar Channels. DO NOT SPAM your channel everywhere. Sub 4 Sub doesn’t work. Be cool about promoting your Channel and you’ll get a lot more success a lot quicker.

8:41 Bonus Tip: Don’t take yourself too seriously. Let mistakes happen and use them as Out takes, which your audience will love.

9:30 Bonus Bonus Tip: Reply to your Subscribers’ Comments. They’ve taken the time to watch your video and leave a comment, so take the time to reply. This builds up your loyalty on your Channel and your Subscribers will love you for it.
