  • I would be super interested to dive deep into starting a youtube channel about cars and how to film them and other technical stuff about the subject!

  • I have just reached 104 subs! starting a Mototsport channel just before the 2nd Lockdown didn't really go to well! I have managed to get Matt Neal on my channel though 🙂

  • Right… got an iPhone and just got me a GoPro Hero 3. Let’s give this a go. Thanks for the encouragement!🏎

  • Really? The in car audio is better on the 4? Like with the built in mic or with all mics?

  • That’s either the smoothest or the absolute least smooth ad spot I’ve ever seen…I legitimately can’t tell if you’re just jerking my chain or if you’re being sincere and that’s legitimately how you came to be sponsored by them. It’s like confusing because I trust YOU but I wouldn’t trust that story coming from anyone else so …whatever that means 😂

  • What filming gear (camera setup) do you use

  • Hey man. Love the channel! I’d like to know more about editing videos, can it be done good on a budget? If your looking for a vehicle for driving the world, get yourself a unimog 😉

  • You should talk about camera angles and techniques please and thank you

  • I would be interested in the how to film car videos

  • Can you pls do a more in depth video of how to film, edit, grow and develop a YouTube channel? 😀

  • Interesting video Sam, only just had a chance to watch it. Please do a video on editing! Thanks

  • Hey Sam. Just wanted to say well I’ve been watching you career for years and that you are a real inspiration in the game! One of the automotive YouTube OGs!

  • Kara and Nate just rock don’t they Sam? I discovered them not long just after Christmas 2019. Loved their stuff in america in their van – I could see you doing something like that through north and South America in a new defender. You should contact Kara & Nate if you do a big trip and do a collab episode or two!

  • Brilliant video, would love to see videos on how to edit.. I want to start drone videos but can't edit for the life of me. Also big ups to you for loving a bit of Kara and Nate, absolutely inspirational

  • I personally would love a video on how you edit videos and setup camera for filming. These are the things I struggle with and your content is spot on, so would love your insight. Thanks dude 👍

  • What brand were the video glasses you used on your first videos?

  • Yes please! More videos on how you film, gear, how to film solo, audio. Thanks for this great video 👍🏼

  • Nice adverting. pretending it not paid adverting when it clearly is.

  • Sam, you gave a lot of really genuine advice here about starting a YouTube channel. Big respect for that. You're a class act, and you truly lift up other creators.

  • Totally agree with the “just going and do it approach”. I started with a £50 cheap camera with terrible audio and been having great fun. My videos are very infrequent and always me just rambling on while driving my 996 or 912 or Golf R or MGB (that feels like a weird set of cars when I see it written down). I don’t have many subscribers but that’s mostly because I don’t feed the YouTube algorithm in a consistent way. I think the advice I’d need is what kind of editing software to use how to set up multi angle shot cameras but I guess that comes with experience.

Great video though and great advice 👍🏼

  • More about channel creation please. Keep up the great vids!!

  • Sam once covid restrictions ease off would your UK based fans be ok to visit you at your STG HQ? I would love to meet you! Been a fan for years now.

  • I would love to see some of your Youtube Mates do a sort of Top Gear thing, like the one with Hoovies Garage and his co-stars.

  • Is it not a lonely job? No collegues, no team, i think its allot harder dan it seems. Nice work!

  • Damn…you watch Kara and Nate too! And Harry's Garage! If you want some more entertaining travel stuff, watch Bald and Bankrupt and Harald Baldr. Strangely most of my Youtube viewing is cars, travel and gaming. We could be mates! lol

  • Where I live (South Carolina), there aren't too many supercars if any. There's a McLaren dealership in Charlotte and Ferrari, McLaren in Atlanta. So it might be something big here.

  • Great advice. I think the "just do it" part is key (please don't sue me Nike). I'm not on this level at all but my experience getting started was I think typical: Have an idea, sit on it for a year because "it's not a good time" , stress and overthink the first video, first video sucks anyway because you don't know what you're doing, learn from that, get better, eventually find a style and niche and start growing.

  • Yeah, that would be awesome blossum.
A little peak behind the scenes how to film and edit together one of your vids!

And respect for most of you being your own crew! Especially you for making it really cinematic everytime!
