6 Tips for Dropshipping with Aliexpress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgSiIbAuooc

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend that you watch the video. In this video, we do an Aliexpress unboxing from items that we requested to have blindly dropshipped, so you can see exactly what the customers receives when you blind dropship an item.

Here at Wholesale Ted, we get asked a lot of questions in-regards to this…

“Won’t the Aliexpress seller include an invoice in the package, telling the buyer the real price I paid? Won’t they get angry?”

“I don’t want to dropship from Aliexpress because sellers include marketing information (like their seller name and coupon codes) that identifies them, so the buyer can go direct to the Aliexpress seller.”

Luckily, there is a simple solution to this – and that is to blindly dropship your items from the Aliexpress suppliers.

QUESTION: What is Blind Dropshipping?

ANSWER: Blind dropshipping is when a supplier dropships an item without including any marketing or advertising identifying them as the seller. It also means they don’t include an invoice so the customer can’t see how much you paid. As a result, the buyer as no idea where you go the item from (so they can’t go direct to them) and they don’t know the real price of it.

QUESTION: That’s great… how do I blindly dropship then?

ANSWER: It’s actually very simple. All you need to do is ask the Aliexpress supplier to do it.

When you purchase an item, on the checkout page you’ll be offered an option to leave a message for the seller. Simply type in a message like this:

“Hi there. Please do not include an invoice or any marketing materials with this order. Please blindly dropship this item. Thank you”

If you add a message like this, then your item will be shipped out and not include any invoices/marketing materials/coupon codes inside.

QUESTION: Why would suppliers be willing to blindly dropship?

ANSWER: A lot of Aliexpress sellers are used to working with dropshippers, and actively seek them out. Why? Because dropshippers can do large amounts of volume, and be very profitable for them. As a result of working with us, Aliexpress suppliers are used to the needs of dropshippers and know how to ship while hiding their identity.

QUESTION: Why in this video do you recommend working with Aliexpress suppliers that have a feedback score between 2,000-2 million?

ANSWER: Sellers in this feedback range are the “sweet spot.” They are established suppliers, so likely have previous experience working with dropshippers and will understand your requests. Yet they aren’t doing an absolutely insane amount of sales volume, so they will be more likely to pay close attention to messages.

QUESTION: Is there anything else I do to ensure the supplier will blind dropship my item?

ANSWER: Yes – there is. If you’d like to be doubly safe, then we recommend reaching out to the supplier and messaging them. You can ask them if they offer blind dropshipping, and check that they understand what it is.

QUESTION: So you say that you ordered items from Aliexpress suppliers and unboxed them in the video… was any marketing material or invoices included in the packages?

ANSWER: Nope! We ordered four different items from four different suppliers. All of the suppliers were in the feedback score range we recommended in this video (2,000 to 2 million). There was nothing included on or in the packages indicating who the seller was. There were no invoices included in the packages, indicating the true cost of the item. And there were no coupons included in the package, and they made no attempts to try and “poach” customers.

And finally, here is something to keep in mind… this highlights something very important: oftentimes, seemingly complicated problems have very simple, easy solutions.

We’ve noticed that a ot of people get held back from starting a dropshipping business because of this issue. They tell us things like:

“I want to do this, but I’m worried the customer will get an invoice in their package.”

“I’d like to start a dropshipping business, but it won’t work, because the Aliexpress seller will include advertising information in the package, identifying them.”

Well… a little bit of research reveals that actually – this isn’t true at all if you just ask them to not do so! They will leave all of that out. So remember – if you hit a stumbling block along the way, don’t let it stop you. The solution to it is likely simpler that you realized.

He in Brazil, this is not exactly possible, because you are obligated by law to indicate somewhere in your product description who is the supplier / who do the actual delivery.

You don't need to disclose all details, but the indication, even if just one word, need to be there. So your client have a vital piece of info to find the supplier, even before put anything to shopping cart.

This doesn't solve anything. On the package you will always and I mean ALWAYS find 1) where the package is from and 2) the price of what's inside the package. So I wonder why on Earth you spent time making a video where you state things that are proven wrong by what you show in the video itself.

You see definitely advertising on the package. You see CHINA POST so a smart customer knows that it is coming from China. Sorry i dislike.

Hi Sarah, Your videos are highly informative. Quick Question, Should I put in customer's phone number when placing the order on Aliexpress? Because it asks for customers name address and phone number. I am worried that AliExpress sellers may use my customer's phone number for marketing purpose. Thanks!

The downside of dropshipping (blind or otherwise) is to miss the opportunity to add a personalized thank you note to the buyer. It's more time consuming but makes a big impact to encourage repeat sales from the buyer.

Am I the only one who really enjoyed the sound of the packages being opened? By the way, I ordered a product from Aliexpress for myself and there were no invoices or marketing material, even though I had n't asked them not to put them in the package. It's better to ask, of course, if you're dropshipping, but obviously Aliexpress sellers are used to not putting invoices in the packages.

Hi Sarah, your videos are so helpful as always. I have some questions. 'AliExpress Standard Shipping' is recently as good or cheaper than 'e-packet' shipping. When tracking their items, would customers know that the item is from AliExpress as it uses 'AliExpress Standard Shipping'? And if there is any packaging or logos that indicate the parcel is shipped by 'AliExpress'? It is quite a concern, as it may affect our brands if customers know that it is from 'AliExpress'. And how reliable is 'AliExpress Standard Shipping' vs 'e-packet'? Would be great if it's possible to have a video guide on this.

Hi, I'm starting to work with Dropshipping. My biggest question is how to pay the suppliers from ALIBABA. How much I should pay them before I start selling the products. Is it secure to pay 30% of the amount at the beginning of the order and 70% after they finished producing my pieces, but they haven't delivered them yet, because I haven't sell them? If I'm working with dropshipping, why do I need to pay before selling? Please If you can help me with this!!!

dropshipping really does sound like an elaborate scam its wierd to me that there is an entire industry based on buying crap from one website and selling it on another. isn't it just a matter of time before consumers buy from aliexpress/alibaba directly?

Ofcourse there is a way to know where it’s from, look at the very top of the package and you see large Chinese letters, that’s very obvious and doesn’t take much brain to know it’s from China lol

Only problem is the packaging looks so cheap I’d be embarrassed to send this to people :/

Is there a way to have the supplier package it nicely in nice packaging for an extra price so it doesn’t look like a packaging from China?
