  • yeah–hyperlinks, and all that—i like to keep it simple, don't know about all that other stuff–simple is for me!

  • I would go ahead and bolt them on, and if they fit with no problem, leave it alone.. BUT—-If your sketchy about it, as long as it still works ok — go ahead and remove the flange and use it without.. Either way will probably work. Good luck Pete

    I bought front rear wheelwells for my '74 super beetle to replace the parts that were rotted out. I double checked to make sure they were for the Super. When I layed them in place I noticed that there was a flange at the bottom just below where the heater channel is spot welded. Before I do any cutting, should I leave the flange on or cut it off? The original metal didn't have this, but I don't know it it was there before the rust got it.
