  • Don't like the message, as I'd be anti capitalist myself, but a superb song with those hard hitting instruments of the Emulator II and the drum machine.

  • Life was simpler back in the 80s. Both white and blue collars allowed you to survive.

  • I was a teenager in the 80s and I remember this fabulous song and so many others from this great group, many many that I heard (and still hear) and I like them a lot. Greetings from Argentina.

  • Came because work radio tipped me off that this wasn't just an Allstate ad song (Which was a major mammer jammer if you ask me) and stayed because the music video is bomb

  • Always loved this band. I would much rather remember the song by this wonderfully orchestrated music video than from an insurance company using it to splatter its logo across the land.

  • It's amazing this song was not the hit it should have been in 1986. I don't remember it EVERY getting airplay in New York at that time, which is usually how hits were determined then, especially whether it got played on the now-former WPLJ-FM (95.5) and/or WHTZ-FM (Z100 at 100.3).

  • Here because of the show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Also, my sister loves the Allstate commercial and showed it to me when I was back home visiting in NJ.

  • The duet from the commercial made the chorus sound a bit better. I like both versions though.
