41 thoughts on “REACTING to *Spectre* THAT’S BLOFELD??!! (First Time Watching) Action Movies

  • The same director who director skyfall directored this flim spectre

  • This movie was the closest one to explain who’s (was now… 😁) ruling the world and which methods they used. Still there are people who simply can’t believe it. It also showed how they do it and which cities are the center of it (were).
The other one doing it is The last MI, but to a lesser extent.

  • Also on the idea of Vesper vs Madeleine I’d say Vespers better for one major reason. To quote M “She knew you were you” Vesper knew Bond in a way that few others would. That’s why she left her phone with Mr. Whites number. Madeleine never could do something like that.

  • I still personally think that the one thing Spectre needed to make the Madeleine and James relationship work was to have brought Eva Green back to be Vesper and after showing Mr. Whites tape with Bond, to show Vesper making the deal to give them the money to spare James. I think it would have been guy wrenching and it would have let Madeleine understand James internally better. To know what happened.

  • The Craig series does take a lot from the book lore, but Bond and Blofeld (who becomes Bond’s arch-nemesis in the later Fleming novels) did not have any precious relationship in the books. Most fans hated it because it strays from the standard lore but it really didn’t bother me that much, because this particular series of five films is it’s own self-contained story.

If you had asked me before this came out who the perfect actor to play Blofeld was, Christoph Waltz probably would have been on my shortlist. Unfortunately he’s a bit underwritten in this film, no fault of Waltz’s. I’ve heard some fans say that Dave Bautista may have actually been a great Blofeld and I actually can’t disagree with that. He probably wouldn’t have been to different than Telly Savalas’ version of the character in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, who was also a mastermind but also a large and intimidating physical presence who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

  • Q then: "what were you expecting? An exploding pen? We don't go in for that anymore" Q now: "here's your exploding watch"

  • Thanks for reviewing the Craig Bond’s. These seem to exist in their own timeline from the rest of the Bond films, you might check those out at some time. Btw, Dave Bautista’s handgun in the snow chase is a real handgun, the Italian Arsenal Firearms Dueller, which is a double barreled handgun which essentially merges 2 1911 handguns into one, resulting in 2 .45 ACP rounds fired with each shot.

  • Actually spectre is the 24th bond movie (cannon) 26th in total.

  • That "Nine Eyes Initiative" is based on a real thing btw, the irl equivalent is called Five Eyes and it's (iirc) America, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand sharing their intelligence operations

  • Specter is pretty much the WEF

  • At least I re-watch Quantum because of the action and set pieces, but this movie?? Im Mexican and I dont even like it

  • Man….the last one is FUKIN AMAZING!! might b one of the top 3 action movies all time…def the best Bond Film EVER!!!

  • What I like about Dave Bautista is that he doesn't come off as your typical wrestler turned actor, he really feels like your typical big guy actor like a Michael Clarke Duncan.

  • Madeline is a Dr either a Psychiatrist or Psychologist depending on who you ask. & She grew up with an Assassin for a father. Nobody understands Bond & his life better than she does & when he talks to her he knows she fully understands his life. A perfect match & pardon the pun. An instant bond.

  • Now that youve seen Andrew Scott in this as C I highly suggest watching fleabag.he’s in it and It’s an amazing comedy series of two seasons (only 12 episodes in total each lasting about 30 minutes) I feel like you guys would enjoy it a lot!

  • I LOVE your Bond reactions, your vids are so fun! And I love Bond! I cant believe this movie is 8 yrs old already 😩 cant wait for the next one!

  • This installment was cool for how much Bond's world was changing.

The connection of these films and what threats await do become challenging.

Sam Mendes did a great job and was the 2nd director in this series to make back to back films.

The artistic liberties taken with the practical-ness of this have great ideas.

Keeping things interesting through Interwoven storytelling in a classic genre.

I never thought we'd see the faction of SPECTRE again on screen.

This was the arch-nemesis of Bond and M16 in the original novels and first films.

Christoph Waltz as the leader, Blofeld and Batista as his main muscle, Hinx was perfect.

Even Blofeld's pet cat is a staple (wasn't expecting to see that again).

actress/model Monica Bellucci (Lucia) was the oldest Bond girl ever.

Age 50 at the time and without a doubt, infinitely gorgeous as always.

Lea Seydoux as Madeline (M:I-4 Ghost Protocol, Blue Is The Warmest Color), the only girl in his life.

That is a very rare kind of role and hasn't happened in the series since the late 1960s.

The Bond theme by Sam Smith is wonderful and deserves every award it won.

This was almost the final Bond film for Craig.

He was looking to not play the role for a long time.

    Glad he did one more.

But if this was the last, i wouldn't be disappointed.

  • SPECTER IS A DECENT MOVIE BUT NOT THAT GREAT AS CASINO ROYALE AND SKYFALL🔥🔥. I LOVED THE DESERT ACTION SEQUENCE👍🤩. CHRISTOPH WALTZ IS SUCH A GREAT ACTOR AND HE DID A GREAT JOB PLAYING THE ANTAGONIST’BLOFELD’👏👏🔥LOVE YOUR REACTION/ANALYSIS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK❤️

  • Christoph Waltz is an incredible actor: I was so disappointed in this film for wasting him

  • the older movies are taking from books well except casino royale considering that was the first book also i tried to get into the books casino royale was good but whren i tried to read the second novel it was boring imo that is why i stick to the movies

  • Still the only guy in the world that loves this movie 🔥 and thinks it's better than skyfall. Don't know why, but I do. 😕

  • You're talking over everything. G'Bye.

  • Perhaps THE GREATEST opening scene (pre-title/credits) of any Bond film and arguably all films.?

  • So yeah, most of the Helicopter scenes in the beginning were filmed for real (with stuntmen, quite a bit of It by Craig himself)!

  • I've seen all the Bond movies, and while Spectre may not be the WORST, it's probably the most frustrating because it's supposed to be part of a bigger story, and it doesn't fit. It makes the things that came before worse (undermining the evil group they spent the first two movies setting up, tries to tie in Silva and his very personal and unrelated mission from the last movie), and it also leaves a situation that the NEXT movie has to awkwardly navigate.

  • This movie is a love letter to the old movies and the books. I've seen all the movies and read all the Ian Fleming books so seeing Spectre in the movie theatre was a special experience. There are so many Easter eggs for the Bond fans. Loved your reaction.

  • C was the amazing Andrew Scott – have you reviewed the series Sherlock yet?

This film isn’t a favourite of mine but I am enjoying your journey of discovery with Bond, starting with Craig. Leave a bit of a break before his last one which I loved.

Then I hope you will go back to the beginning. ❤

  • You should watch the Mission Impossible movie, the Dubai one. Lea Seydoux shoots the guy in the balls, and that's what made them get her in the Bond movie.

  • Madeline said "I don't like guns". Everything will fall into place guy's…..

  • woman speaks german
you: i wish we could understand
me who knows german: i understood that…. oh that was german, makes sense that i understood it but you didnt haha

also how did i forgot christoph waltz is in this, god i love him so much

  • Andrew Strong was considered a very fine actor when he became well known with his portrayal of Moriarty, but his performance here is just the same as in Sherlock, and he wasn't much better in 1917.Sorry but there you have it.

  • The woman is all over the place and still manages to be completely bland.

  • You guys gotta go back and watch the bond films in order now

  • the guy who plays C (Andrew Scott) just looks good as the bad guy hes the bad guy in the Sherlock tv series with Cumberbach. you need to watch the BONDS from the beginning DR NO starting

Vespa is Bond's 2nd wife.. Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo (Tracy Bond) is his 1st in OHMSS (on her majestys secret service)

  • 41:00 The largest explosion in movie history. It's miniature behind them, it is practical, it is in shot, that is not composited in. And the explosion is real. It was shot in 1 take. And it's a big one.
"Once we land, what's the plan?!" This is James Bond… there is no plan. To quote Mission Impossible: "Hope is NOT a plan!" "You're new here."

If nine eyes sounds scary, you should know that Five Eyes is an actual real thing. Intelligence sharing between 5 world powers. It's not as nefarious in its deep reach as nine eyes is portrayed, but still.

  • 1917 is not a single take. It is extremely cleverly edited, but it was shot like any other movie, multiple takes. It's basically a whole series of long one takes edited together to look like a single take. To date, only one film has ever been shot in one single take. Russian Ark. And it is bonkers.

  • Fun fact: Radiohead were originally going to provide the title song but were dropped after writing the song in favour of Sam Smith's "Writing's On The Wall". The producers claimed the song arrived too late to use.
The Radiohead song is simply called "Spectre" and can be found on their album "A Moon Shaped Pool"
