Why Uber Is Losing Money
Uber will hit the public markets this morning with a valuation that could top $75 billion. The world’s biggest ride-hailing business debuts weeks after Lyft, its smaller rival.
Uber is far from making money with operating losses of $3 billion in 2018. This follows an operating loss of more than $4 billion in 2017. Still, not all investors are scared away from red ink. Some analysts predict Uber will eventually turn a profit.
Watch the video to learn how Uber spends money and what it will take for the business to become profitable.

Why Uber Is Losing Money

I just use bike or go by foot/train/bus/planes
Uber don't loose anything- the Uber drivers do Social media propaganda don't have together Fake news
I rather invest in DIDI corp; (china's Uber) .
I don’t see how it is mathematically possible for them to be losing money.
It's the business of scamming desperate people, by paying them less than minimum wage after subtracting the cost of the principle (cars, gas, insurance, etc). Obviously it's a fact they get paid less than minimum wage, but that is why these services exist.
Drivers aren’t just asking for more. I knew people who got comfortable doing Uber 6 years ago and made a few hundred dollars a day. You are lucky if you make $100. And if you do it probably looks more like $60 after gas, less after taxes. Uber had to introduce tipping because they slashed the pay rates again and again and again and all the drivers started going to Lyft. They should have never let these companies get over on them in the first place to destroy smaller taxi and limo companies. I don’t know one person whose Uber black investment got them in the green.

Their dream that one day End Consumer would sit in Self-Driving Cars to go from point A to point B is far fetched from reality.

In Greece uber works very well, so I use only uber
They should by their own fleet and pay on a hourly wage I think things will work out plus they will get more brand recognition if their fleet has their logo on them . Things are changing you gotta bring something different
I drive Uber I deliver sometimes but UberX is better since I can make money quicker since I do not depend on other peoples performance like the slow service at many restaurants. The pay is pretty good. You actually make more per mile than an average truck driver. The only reason truckers make more than Uber driver is they are mostly at highway speed where they really rack up the miles . I drove big truck for years and I think if you look at every aspect Uber driving is still better than trucking if you don’t just consider wage. For one you are driving not operating a big and heavy vehicle. Two you have flexibility and you are home everyday and you set your hours. If you are tired park or go home and sleep. If you got something to do like maybe a side business Uber is perfect. The only real problem with Uber is you need to look at your car as your tool of income so you need to take care of it and do your preventive maintenance as you would do if you own a truck which I did when I was trucking. If you don’t do the you can get a major car repair and you better make sure you have couple thousand to cover the cost of fixing it.
Don't use uber app it's not good because am also uber driver
World biggest Robber Uber
Not paying income tax,
No fixed wage or not respecting to country Labour rules
Exploiting own driver
Lot of thugs , bribes under deals
Hired many retired CIA Officers to cover Uber illegal work

Biggest Robber Uber – getting richer from poor people's commission
Because CEO is pulling $1 million base salary!
Robo taxi from Tesla will destroy Uber business, To recover its value can only be merged under Tesla.
If Uber's business model is specifically designed to undercut an existing industry of taxis, then it would make sense for uber drivers who protest to instead work as taxi drivers as driving a taxi pays more than driving for uber.
Of course the company is making a loss, as all the profits are being spent on investing into and growing the company. This just like how Amazon spent 10 years making losses while investing all the real profits into the company to help grow the company.
This video aged well huh
Tesla will have autonomy cars 🚗 beta program already is in use , that will disrupt completely this business as well in about 2 to 5 years
