📶 AWESOME Mobile Internet! || Working from the Road Full Time! [2020]
UPDATE (Dec 2020) – The data plans offered via Mobile Must Have changed since the time of this post. The Verizon plans are no longer available and the AT&T plans are no longer unlimited but capped at 500GB. At the moment this is still the highest data allowance out there and 500GB is way more than enough for the vast majority of people. But it is NOT unlimited.

We live in and work out of our RV full time on the road, so we need reliable, rock-solid Internet! Accomplishing this on the road, moving every couple of weeks, is not without its challenges.
If you saw our last internet video, you know that it was over two years ago! While this setup has served us well, we were ready for something with more capability without as many setup challenges.

— Entry-Level Products for Mobile Internet —
For entry-level mobile internet, rather than a jetpack or hotspot, there’s a much more flexible option in the Pepwave MAX BR1 MINI! (https://changinglanesrv.com/mmh-br1-mini) The MINI is Pepwave’s entry-level device and it can accept SIM cards for AT&T or Verizon (and T-Mobile). In fact, it accepts TWO SIM cards at the same time, allowing you to switch back and forth (manually via the management interface) between the two. Pair the Mini with an unlimited data plan and you’ve got a little more flexibility if you plan on using two carriers as we do.

thank you very much for the information….. I love your how to videos
We just bought a 397TH and I'm putting in a system pretty similar with what you have. You routed an ethernet cable thru the trunk for the AC. Did you drop that speaker down and put a small hole in the side of the duct to run the cable from the tech cabinet into the duct? Thanks.
Great video, lots of information. I fell asleep listening the first time but took notes the second. Hoping that Canadians can take advantage of these plans.
This is great and all but where can I find info on the security protocols and features of this equipment? The peplink site doesn't really cover it.
Question: I’ve been researching internet access for our RV and have narrowed it down to antennae like the Poynting or Panorama 7-in-1, a Pepwave Transit Duo router and something like a Netgear Nighthawk RAX45 router to provide wireless connectivity. Instead of dealing with all of the issues of permanently installing the hardware on the RV, is there any reason, security aside, that I couldn’t build a box with the antenna on top, the cellular and wireless routers inside and a 120v AC inlet to provide power? In that case, I’d have truly portable internet access that I could take anywhere. Just a newby trying to figure out the best, most flexible way to get reliable internet access when we go full time. Thanks.
Soon we will be full time RV living, a nurse and entrepreneur.
Starlink available in Washington state. $500 fee, wait list, $100 monthly fee.
Fantastic videos. All of them.
Curious if you looked into nomad internet before going with your new setup? Wondering what you think about nomad and why chose your new setup over nomad?
Thank you – I now understand this darn stuff! Pictures are always a great teaching aid for us old timers😉
ty again
Thanks so much for your on-site and knowledge. Hope to catch up to you guys on the raid.
Hi Guys when come to Australia you can sort my mobile internet cheers Andrew
Is there ANYTHING Chad can't do?! 😂
How about T-Mobile?
I am not a diy kind of person. If I wanted to find someone that could install Ultimate Road Warrior Bundle for me where would I look?
I am currently staying in a campground that has wifi but is weak. I also do not have any cell service in this area (or at least none that I can detect). Is there a way that I can bring in a cell signal to the area in which I am staying? Sorry for an almost obviously answered question. I am very new to mobile computing.
so do you not think its possible to game on desktop and still travel like in the rv?
Hi, can anyone tell me what equipment i need just to get cell cover while camping in Valentine NE. I have Verizon (Unlimited talk/text plan). I am ok going to my truck to make calls and send texts. Can anyone make this non complicated to me please?
Love watching your videos, very informative, going back several times to watch it again
Top 3 favorite states??
Hi Chad. I contacted MobileMustHave and am going to purchase a package from them. One question I have if you know the answer. What is the dBm level that you feel you need for reliable internet connection? We are looking at two different seasonal locations in MN next spring and Summer and are getting -85 to -90 dBm in one of them and about -100 dBm in the other. That is on my phone with AT&T, so I imagine that using an antenna on my roof or a mast will probably be higher, plus any gain that the antenna has. MobileMustHave is recommending the Parsec antenna for me, which I would probably mount to a mast attached to my mid bunk slide. We love your videos and all the great info you have! Thanks.
My Winegard on my roof of my motorhome everything is connected to the Winegard I also can go about 1/4 of a mile away from my RV and still have connection to my computer had a Verizon hotspot and I never lost signal no matter where I was it's a signal booster and works on cell 4G too
