Life is a series of calculated risks.  But when we took the plunge to sell our house and hit the road as full time RVers we had a pretty good idea that we would love it.  And in the end, if we didn’t we could just sell the RV and buy a house again.  However, full time RVing isn’t for everyone and it’s important to know all the nitty gritty details before you sell everything and attempt to live on the road.

For instance, I always needed a very strict schedule and if we didn’t stick to it I would become very stressed and frustrated.  I learned early on that having a very organized schedule was going to be hard between breakdowns, bad weather, and our own newbie mistakes, our plans needed to be changed on a weekly basis.  So, I had to learn to go with the flow!

Thankfully, you can get used to most of the nitty gritty issues with full time RV travel.  However, if you know you wouldn’t be happy with these 8 reasons why you shouldn’t RV, then it’s a good idea to not upend your life and attempt life on the road.  Testing the waters with RV rentals is an amazing way to get your feet wet and determine if you’d like full time RVing without the major risk of hating it after you’ve committed by selling everything from your old sticks and bricks life.  Check out the video below to see what we think are 8 reasons why someone should NEVER full time RV!

  • Ppl living in RVs we do it cause jobs are not in our area so to go to new job we have too not bc we want too! Employers are no longer loyal to there employees nor are they paying retirement. That means our future as Americans is broken. That’s bc the owners and CEO’s are to greedy.

  • Those who judge those for leaving the RV lifestyle, I say – People have the right to find the right type of ethical living which works for them, and if that means leaving RV living in order to live a simpler life and build a house or live on a boat, etc, then who are you to falsely accuse and judge them?

  • Very informative.. I did 5 years full time in an RV in the Northeast and its a challenge when conditions stay below freezing. Be prepared too for expensive repairs unless you can fix things yourself.

  • is this wear breaking bad was shot

  • Well what tips do u have for snow rving ? We actually have no other option like a small home to go to ….

  • My partner wanted to do this. I found a video of dumping black water and she rather buy a house now. It’s videos like these that keep people like me their sanity!

  • Can’t be afraid to get a little pooppee on your hands if you have an rv.

  • Did you guys purposely set out to find a mate that could be your sibling?

  • You guys are great… but I don’t think it’s for me, full time…. Another thing I have discovered when COVID hit, people are renting motor homes… that’s a thought.. just to see if u like it… why work 40 hrs a week, sitting down, then go in the motor home, go to the beach and just sit. I’ll watch you guys, lol

  • Everything is ok when u r young… when u get older… that may be something to think about…you can’t do what you could when u were young…

  • A cat on the stove? Nope… keeping my house..

  • Thank you so much for sharing these realities with us! I have just started doing some research on RV life. Side note, my family lives near Ft. Wayne! I grew up there! Thanks for sharing!🙂

  • we lived all winter in a 5th wheel up in a 3 season up in Canada fully winter skerting for bottom of trailer as well as slide covers the living area was warm but the fridge stopped working at -32 c water line in the trailer froze several time last winter so yea what a pain had poop pymids because are black tank valve to release the tank was broke in half new valve leeks for the 2cnd poop pymid so diry jobs yes but LOVE the life style

  • This is old…but, thanks for being honest! 👍

  • I know this might sound a little disgusting but I lived in an RV on a farm that I could not move it and had no way to empty the black tank so I would take a plastic grocery bag and it fit it underneath the toilet seat and put newspaper in the bag and just use that and then ball it up throw it in the trash that I knew would be empty regularly…

  • I love your video.
How did you get your cat comfortable with travel and is it an outdoor cat?

  • I full timed it made over a million dollars doing it 🙂
