Basic RV Camp Set Up
#ThorMotorCoach #TMCHowTo
Camping can be a swell timeā¦ fishing, stories around the campfiresā¦ and sāmores Whoa… slow down there Tommy… itās not playtime yet… you need to set up camp first. When pulling into your campsiteā¦. Use those peepers. Look for low hanging branches and electric lines. You need space for your slide rooms and doors so they can open with enough clearance. See where your hookups are so you pull in the right way. Hahaha wrong way Tommy… you want to make sure your hookups are on the side where you need them and within reachā¦ Make sure you have the proper cords or adapters so you can hook up to shore power/ Thatās Aces Tommy. Nowās a good time to walk around and see how level your campsite isā¦ you want to make sure everything is Even Steven. Also, make sure the ground youāre setting up on is solid. If itās wet, soft or muddyā¦ do you know what to do Tommy? Donāt be such a square Tommy… use wooden squares to help disperse the weight. Now youāre on the trolley.
If you towed another vehicle, nowās the time to unhitchā¦
Chock those wheelsā¦ now go ahead and level the motorhome.
Looking spiffy Tommy! Next youāre going to want to put out your slide rooms. Make sure nothing or no one is in the way… This is where Rapid Camp is the beeās knees. Go ahead and make your other connectionsā¦ and turn on your propane. All this set up may be making you thirstyā¦ on no Tommy, donāt drink out of that hose. You want a hose made for fresh water… like this. Letās get that hooked up so we can get you a cold. Proper drink from the icebox.
I need to be on the level Tommyā¦ this next job can be a dragā¦ but I need you to check the handles on the termination tanks… make sure they stay closed until you need to dump them. Atta boy Tommy! Almost playtime Tommy… but were not done yetā¦
Items in the drawers and cabinets may get jostle around during the trip… so be careful opening them Proper set up makes the whole trip āsāmoreā fun for everyoneā¦ right Tommy!
