FIRST TIME RV OWNERS, RV NEWBIES or even experienced RVers TOP 10 THINGS EVERY NEW RV OWNER SHOULD KNOW (RV LIVING HOW TO VIDEO)
Tips: Know your height (You never know when you will come across a bridge with a height sign and you will cringe as you drive under it not knowing your RV height).
→ Know your length. Along with this, don’t trust google maps – we have an RV Specific GPS – Garmin 780 https://amzn.to/2rGur6q that has kept us out of areas that are not “RV Friendly” – except that one time in NOLA. BUT we didn’t hit any power lines, so it did all work out. Carry basic tools. Skimping on the essential tools (gorilla tape, command hooks).
→ Know where your breaker box is and know which outlets are the GFCI outlets (Carry spare fuses). When we were in Missouri we blew the fuse for the inverter and then our house batteries were not charging.
→ Bring in your awning – even if you have a wind sensor – our story of the rain in our awning in GA
→ Make sure your steps are up. Over packing – you don’t need that much stuff. Have an electrical extension/adapters and 2 hoses to extend reach!
Spent too much $$ on Gas! Use an app to check Gas Prices (GasBuddy).
→ Traveled too fast – not taking your time (didn’t pace ourselves). We felt like we had to see everything. You can always come back so slow down and keep a better pace.

→ Creating a checklist for teardown/setup as well as for maintenance. You can share a List with each other on an iPhone or use FMCA app. www.gratefulglamper.com/checklist
→ Leaving the black tank open. Always keep your black tank closed. Keeping it open allows solids to build up in the tank, creating a “💩 pyramid!”
