Budget RV Gear From Harbor Freight!

Today I wanted to go through Harbor Freight and look at a few tools and RV accessories that stood out to me that you can use while you RV. Some tools at Harbor Freight are a good money-saving buy while others can be a waste even at the low price it is.

  • Tell you my golden fleece at Harbor Freight: they used to sell magnificent, inexpensive sun covers for tires on your parked RV. They covered the tread and outside face of the tire with tough, genuine light canvas, and had a tight, springy fiberglass (?) rod sewn into the rear seam to hug your tires. I've had mine for over 25 years — way more durable than commercial vinyl ones, for a chicken-feed price. Sadly, HF replaced them with flimsy cloth models, with a feeble hoop that won't stay on in a light breeze. Whenever they ask me for comments on how they are doing, I ask them to bring back a product similar to the old ones. I'd love it if other RVers would, too!

  • Another must have at Harbor Freight would be a head mounted flashlight. Great for getting light where you're working and be hands free as well.

  • By my count, the wheel chocks were the ONLY item that related to RV life. Everything else would apply to any home workshop. Not the most informational or insightful video I have ever seen about RV life.

  • China thanks you for supporting their takeover of America. One Harbor Freight purchase at a time.

    Wake up!

    Fail 👎🏼

  • Really enjoyed your little tidbit helpers. Stay Safe and Make Memories

  • That skateboard tape is great stuff, keep it around and you might need it again one day 😊

  • If you are a harbor freight inside track member they will give you flashlights that same tape measure, bungy cords, blue shop towels, a phone charger for free. Have to be an inside track member. It's worth it.

  • "Always in the same place" does not register with my wife.

"Out of sight in the nearest compartment" is more like it.

  • First time viewer of your channel, I recognize the harbor freight you were at and it caught my eye. My grand parents were full time RVers before they passed. They hit all 49 driveable states including Alaska. You’ve earned a subscription from me for bringing back some fond memories I’d not thought about in some years. Look forward to learning more about your content.

  • 😂. I use a nice long twig from a 🌳 for caulking. Seems to be lasting…

  • Be careful. They charge a 50$ restocking fee on generators. Also get every drop of fuel out.

  • I am SO glad I found this video and I found it in time to take advantage of a 3-day sale! I was able to snag 4 tarps, 100-pc zip ties and a new/better flashlight all for $24!!

  • Harbor freight has different classes of tools. My best deal was the tool chest top and bottom it was half price of a craftsman bottom.

  • Harbor Freight used to be pretty much overseas junk. Not so much any more. I've got the same wheel chocks you showed and I've got a couple of other things that have worked fairly well including some of their really cheap battery maintainers. Keep the good stuff coming.

  • Been using their tow bar and set up for at least 8 years. Towing over the Utah mountains absolutely no problems. Love their wheel chocks as well.

  • The ultimate propane tank stabilizer is a plastic milk crate.

  • I bought a 300 lb torque wrench from Harbor Freight. It literally fell apart the second time I used it. Pittsburg junk.

  • Good video, and I agree with all your suggestions. I actually have most of them, love the little 99 cent LED lights. I have many of them, used to get one for free with another purchase. The chocks are great, I use them on my motorhome and they've actually kept me from moving when I forgot to remove them.

  • Harbor Freight items are inexpensive because most of their products are made in China and are genuinely junk. You get what you pay for. Look at the labels folks.
