  • How do I reach the top seal that's under a slide topper, especially if it's half flipped in/out. Also do you have a tip for flipping the seal out when it isn't turned all the way out the entire length? I've tried sticky dots but still have sections that don't flip out correctly.

  • Tod, I bought a used rig last year and my slide out dips toward the middle of the unit when it moves in and out and the motor really struggles to move it, doesn't seem right to me. 2013 Rockwood ultralight 2607.

  • have questions about what to use. I see one of these you use, but others prefer the lubricant

3-IN-ONE RVcare Slide Out Silicone-11 Ounce and RV Care Window -Track Dry Lube & 3-in-one RVcare Rubber seal conditioner. So do I use all or just some?

  • Why dry silicone instead of the foam slide conditioner?

  • Has anyone used baby powder to treat your slide seals? That’s what the rv tech’s for Grand Design recommends.

  • What do you recommend for sliding window seal? You mentioned Happy Camper and it's not endorsed but can you recommend it or not?

  • Tip for the top seal if you can't get on the roof, only put the slide out about a foot (until the seals position properly). Then you can setup your ladder and reach the seal.

  • So you said clean the shaft with lubricant, gotcha. 😉

  • Should the seals fold under as the slides go in or should they remain out or does it matter? I hope that makes sense. In other words if my seals don’t have much lube, they grip the slides as they go in and the lip folds in. If the slides or seals are lubricated, the lip allows the slide to move without the lip folding.

  • I see you answered the question about slide toppers below, thanks. Now where do I get one of those foot-tall trained monkeys to do all of this maintenance while I drink beer?

  • Yes those top seals are tough to reach. Now if you have feet would you not have legs?
