• I had a freaking traumatic experience with this curler …I was so excited I have shoulder length hair (fine but lots of it) I followed the directions, I felt to a T, and my hair got stuck in it…it didn’t beep and if it did it didn’t release my hair…I turned it off because I didn’t want it to just sit in there and fry but it did not release my hair. I realized I’d need to turn it on to be able to push the start button again and hopefully run the cycle and release my hair…it wound my hair up tighter and still did not release when I let go of the start button as per instructions! I kept turning it off so my hair didn’t fry and tried this one more time(because there is no emergency release button) after letting it cool down so that hopefully when I turned it back on if it did the timer again it wouldn’t burn my hair! Long story short it did not work as per instructions and so for 35 mins I gently tugged at my hair and tried to push the bar inside the slit with my pinky and inch by small inch my hair finally released and birthday miracle (it was my present to me) no damage …it curled a dreadlock type curl because of the constant winding and twisting …as a side note I thought I would have to cut a chunk of my hair off right at the front! So it’s going back! Be careful or just don’t use!

• I bought a much cheaper knockoff (in my defense I didn’t know there was a Conair product!) It worked great! Until the battery died after 15minutes….😡😡😡
