It’s our last day in the Mojave National Preserver – our final boondocking site for the next 6 weeks. Before we leave though we check out the Rings Trail near Hole in the Wall Campground. It’s a short but scenic and exciting 1.6 mile round trip hike through a slot canyon. Metal rings drilled into the walls are required to climb up a couple steep sections.

Our time in the Mojave National Preserve has been very special and has become one of our top free camping locations. However, there is one thing in high abundance at the preserve that we hate – cholla cacti!!
