Ebike News! Lectric XP 2.0 FOLLOW-UP Q&A | NEW Juiced Ripcurrent | Built-in Ebike Tracking Coming
The release of the NEW Lectric XP 2.0 has been all the buzz this past week and as more news increased around the new upgrades, so did the questions! I emailed Lectric Ebikes a few questions I had about the new 2.0 and got some interesting answers I thought I’d share in this video.

In addition to the Lectric XP new release, the Juiced ebike company also launched a new Step-thru of their awesome Ripcurrent S model. With a HUGE 19.2Ah 54volt battery and powerful 750watt nominal motor kicking out a peak wattage of up to 1300watts, this Step-thru is going to be a HUGE hit. It also has a multi Peddle assist sensor system that combines both a cadence sensor WITH A TORQUE SENSOR! This is definitely one Ebike I want to ride or own someday to race up against the Bolton Blackbird!

The batteries and seat posts are not the same between step thru and step over.
The Cowboy bike doesn't look like a horse or anything a Cowboy would ride. It has to have a saddle seat that looks like a saddle with saddlebags. No real cowboy or want to be would ride that bike.

I just ordered my xp 2.0 today… I know it's going to be a couple of months wait but I know the wait will be worth it.
In addition, anytime you have suspension – front forks on the 2.0, weight can be a factor. I don't know about bicycles (I'm a motorcycle guy) but wheel and tires weight is a factor in suspension spec'd by maker. This may not be a factor on bicycles but I am thinking a 4" tire and rim weigh more than the 3" tire and rim but maybe not enough to affect suspension being used. Haha…..c'mon folks…you wait 9 months to get your baby, right?
Just ordered the 2.0 lectric says seven weeks for shipping. Hope it's not more but maybe that is a realistic date with the logjam at the ports. Seattle is anchoring container ships out in puget sound and port angles so the backup has spread up here too. 😳
I have an Ecotric fat tire 48 volt 13mah. Its a great bike The! The only reason I ordered the Lectric 2.o was the stepthrough because I'm only 5'1 and the ecotric was stick a little too high for me. Ive had both my Acls replaces so I'm a little unsteady getting on and off. Theu say within 6 weeks but im thinking it might be a little longer. Thats ok at least I have 1 to ride now.😉
I still like the look of the 4" tire.
Paid for the 1.0 version on March 12 and still haven't received my black step through. Emailed David of Lecrtric bikes and he offered the 2.0 version but I would have to wait "5 more weeks." Hmm. Since he said I should receive a tracking order by Friday for the 1.0 version I declined. Didn't want to add 5 weeks when it could be five days. Hope I didn't make a mistake (I would if I have to wait 5 more weeks for the 1.0).

FYI – got an email today saying (Your order is waiting to be picked up by FedEx!" . . . please allow up to 10 business days for your package to be scanned) … now getting excited again – just like when I first ordered… let's see when it actually ships! LOL! – But, I'm pretty patient .. WaHoo!!
My wish is that they would have Lectric XP models without battery packs so they would be $300 less expensive and have a DIY solution where you can choose whatever battery you like with 12 gauge wires leading to the battery of your choosing.
I personally own the Lectric XP Step Thru and have modded it with an extra 48 volt 20 AH battery like what I saw some other YouTube owners doing to their XP ebike. This extends the range almost triple along with the included battery pack.
Yeah have bare bones Lectric XP's without the included battery.
Don't call Lectric if your bike is delayed. They get irritated and will just respond with "We will send you an email when it ships." End of conversation.
I agree on the forgetting the pain of the wait. I have another ebike I waited for earlier this year and now I have it I love it. I got the Lectric for my wife and upgraded to the 2.0, but I am just as excited. The wait sucks, but it will be worth it once you get it.
Just received my phone holder. Liked it very much. Seems to hold the phone well. I will give you an update after I get out and pound it a little bit. You cannot beat the price! Looking forward to additional products. Thanks again!
I am 75 and just ordered my step thru on May 18th, they said 7 weeks, but I will be happy if I get it by September. At 75 I try not to be in a hurry about anything, ( I live in Lower Slower Delaware) because it just means I will get to the Military Cemetery sooner. We have some great trails here. Check out Shreddie McSkates videos for a view. They are building a new grocery store about a mile away from me, and with all the growth here at the beach, I can't get out of my neighborhood in July and August, but I will be able to go down the Rail/Trail and go three miles to the beach!
Great info! When I asked Lectric about a suspension fork for the 1.0 they said they were looking into it 🤷♂️ so 1.0 owners may indeed see one down the pike!
Try 4 inch tires vs. 3 inch tires on a beach or on snow. Can't fold the Lectric 2.0 folding bike if rear rack is "bolted" on. Lectric still sells the best value bike for the money. But by not upgrading the motor and/or battery the honeymoon is over for Lectric. They struck lightning with the original XP, and again with the Step Thru. Couldn't do it with 2.0. Lectric will return to the 4 inch Fat Tire for 3.0. Hopefully, they'll upgrade the battery and motor, get rid of the oil filled suspension, include full color waterproof display, and an option to get it delivered without graphics.
My number one concern with buying a cheaper brand e-bike was worrying about whether they will replace and deprecate their old, proprietary e-bike components to the point where when you need to buy a replacement part, you can't find it. And I'm glad that Lectric did not change the battery for the 2.0.

Just got the Paselec PX5 with 4.0 tires, front fork suspension, suspension seat post and all the rest is the same for $949 delivered in 7 days.
