First RV Trip | RV Newbies | Foley, Alabama

This was our first RV trip…ever! We were complete RV newbies and needed to get our first RV trip with our travel trailer under our belt before we started our two year adventure. Soon we’d be full time RVing across the U.S. and Canada (our Hop 1 of Traveling the World, 1 Hop at a Time). This was a short two day trip from Biloxi, MS to Foley, AL and gave us some time to try life out on the road, but really to relax for a few days. We’d spent the previous 9 months downsizing, moving, and preparing and we needed a weekend away. Foley Alabama was the perfect place to make that happen.

The main goal of the trip was to attend the Gulf Coast Balloon Festival but bad weather shortened that to just one evening. We spent the rest of the time checking out Alligator Alley and finding some cool roadside oddities.

This trip proved to us that we were ready to start a life of full time travel…we were ready to start Hinton the Trail.
