AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage – only slightly more violent. It’s a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on YouTube are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping – except that it doesn’t cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn’t cost you anything to click these links, and it’s a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

  • It bothers me as well that the states I used to drive through with my parents which had their own peculiar cultural aesthetic all look the same now when I go to the same places.

  • Use a T.P.M.S it will monitor tire pressure and temperature.

  • Hi, thanks for your insights. Do you still use a GPS? If so whatcha one do you recommend? Just got our first trailer and are looking forward to seeing the country.

  • Heading on our first long trip. Going from Texas to Great Smokey Mountains March to April. Any suggestions?

  • Great vid!!
    Informative!!
What kind of drone do you use?
    Thanks

  • Iv been freaked about cold weather and I'm always cold . Found thick legging , happy. Thank you for information.

  • Laundry. How/what did you guys do about cleaning dirty clothes? No one seems to talk about this. Thx

  • This video was extremely helpful! We’re newbies at this whole cross country thing and I’m so excited to be going on this trip to finally get out of the house lol. We’re taking an interesting route 😂

  • Just curious – where were you when you filmed this? In your sticks & bricks? Love your videos! Thx!

  • What about high winds in the midwestern areas. I've been cross country in a jeep but not with an RV

  • Love your videos but when are you guys going to travel again to get some new updated info if I'm correct your basing all of this on your one trip you took many years ago now? Please travel again I'm sure MANY IF NOT ALL of your viewers/subscribers would not object at all! Really looking forward to your upcoming cross country trip and the new footage! To be honest I believe in my heart you guys could become on of the very top YouTubers but gaining new information and experience etc is required and is what "keeps it exciting". Looking forward to your upcoming travels 🙂 😙😙😙😙

  • Sean how is your foot doing & how have you both been doing ? Are you coming to Florida this winter ? LOLOHO !

  • Thank u for the exp… sorry for all the troubles…we are about to embark on our retirement and we are contemplating just buying a log cabin out west or just-sell the hse, buy an RV and hit the road…we forget the roads are terrible…I mean I’ve been traveling these roads for 65 years…log time! Take care and bless u both…

  • We have many great and scary memories with our Airstream.. On a recent trip, we were going to stop in Dumas, TX. When we pulled up to refuel at Walmart, another customer told us we had a blown tire. This was on a Sunday, small town. They had a tire and changed it. Thank god for Walmart. We were back on the road and headed for cool Colorado. This was in August with over 100 degrees in Texas.

  • Love your videos! Thanks

  • Thanks. Heading Northeast soon! Very helpful. The avoid DC at rush hour turned a “bulb” on…

  • Not everyone can travel at our pace – nor even want to. Our pace is about 200-230 miles on Sunday. The other days of the week are for exploring the local area and for relaxation. And often we stay an extra week or two or even a month or two – or six.

  • You guys absolutely nailed it on this video!! We made our first really long trip in June from North Carolina to southwest Utah. I only had limited vacation days and our priority was to get to Utah to visit family. To make it work, we planned between 300 and 400 miles per day, but as you said 200-300 would have been much more enjoyable. When a camping spot didn't work out in Illinois we went on through St Louis and it made a huge difference that we didn't have to face Monday morning traffic in St Louis! Unfortunately, a couple of days later we hit afternoon rush hour plus construction in Denver. Some of our most memorable eating experiences were local. I highly recommend the Swinging Steak in Mexican Hat, Utah! And last but not least, we were well prepared for the flat tire we had on our truck on US 160 in Eastern Colorado, thanks to all of your videos I had watched in the past. We had appropriate tools, reflective vests, and emergency cones. It was definitely part of the adventure and has given us good story fodder. A quick shout out to the folks at the Ford dealership in Gallup, NM who took us right in at the end of the day, let us drop our trailer in the lot of their body shop, had us fixed and on our way in about an hour, and charged us less than $20!! A great end to a stressful event! Thanks for all your informative videos! You have made our journeys SO much more enjoyable. Hope to catch you on down the road!

  • Weather! First week of June, 2012 – Wyoming, headed to the South Entrance of Yellowstone. Nope. Snowed in for 3 days. A local, coming down from the Bighorns said, "I've been in Wyoming for 28 years, and this is the worst snowstorm I've ever seen!" So, the WORST snowstorm in 28 years happened in June!

  • Hello found this channel while looking for rv tips, I just purchased one and went on our first trip just a few hours away in the Mescalero reservation in New Mexico, thank you very much y'all made my life easier. Blessings from southern New Mexico!

  • New rvr…. love you guys !!!! Learning a lot!!! We haven’t even went on our first trip….. we watch all the time! Trying to “” count the cost and be prepared as best we can “” again… thank you and love you guys!!!

  • 13 people accidentally hit the dislike button. People should really pay more attention to where they click. You guys ROCK!

  • Holy crap! Getting stuck in NYC or LA traffic is one thing… getting stuck in "NEWARK, NJ??? There can't possibly be a poorer, crappier, more obscure sh*thole on the entire planet!

  • The Rand McNally atlas is a must have. It does not require batteries or internet, but it might require reading glasses 😉 AAA is a great source of free maps (to members)

  • Don't forget to get a pic next to the giant bluegill in Orr, Minnesota. It's the thing to do in the Northwoods besides sitting around the campfire with tweezers picking ticks off each other.

  • Yea, The Salt Lick BBQ is some of the very best anywhere. Just outside of Austin. I hope you enjoyed our fair city, even with the nightmarish traffic thanks to our liberal leaders' mentality for the last 40 years – "if we don't build it they won't come".

  • Not sure if Maryland or New Jersey holds the title for "land of tolls"

  • Great advise. Mair and I are soon to be Floridian nomads and this was one of the better and more insightful vids we have watched

  • What do you do in case of emergency or roadside assistance when you are out of cell range on one of those less traveled routes. We are planning on a non-interstate trip from St. Louis to Glacier NP this summer.

  • Hello from Fairhope, AL. Love your series of LoLoHo videos. I have gained so much useful RV information. Thank you!

  • We always try to patronize local restaurants whenever we are on vacation or traveling with my father-in-law in his RV.

  • I love watching your videos. We bought our first RV a few months ago. Have only been out once, as we’ve had a lot of upgrades added at the dealer. In two weeks we’re doing our first 100-mile trip (3 days travel, 6 days RV resort, 3 days back), and in November we go full time. Your videos have provided me with a wealth of information. Keep up the great work 🙂

  • Hey! Always enjoy seeing you two on the "tube" and your comments and advice. Hope your health has improved significantly!

  • I would say one city you sort of missed that you can't really avoid is Salt Lake City, there's about 4 lanes of traffic and it lasts for what feels like 100 miles. I've not really seen it stop and go too much, but just about any time there's always a ton of cars and people are always going way too fast. If you could go around that, that would probably be a wise move.

  • Sean, you mentioned towing is much more tiresome and taxing. I’ve been towing Airstreams since my early twenties and only found it tiresome or stressful in big city’s like New York. Otherwise it’s always pleasant and easy to tow. I do have friends that tow the box trailers and it’s a white knuckle experience for them (so they say) so much so that they do one of 2 things, 1. route their trip only on back roads for hundreds of miles to avid interstates or 2. leave the RV home and stay in hotels. One particular friend sold his box RV and got a 28’ Airstream (Now a 34’) and says it’s a totally different driving experience.

  • Sorry people from New Jersey, but New Jersey armpit of america. Great information and pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been fortunate enough to see some of those places but can't wait to see them again and many more. Enjoy the road and safe travels.

  • Thank you Sean & Kristy

    You guys are great

My wife and I are in the midst of purchasing an Airstream Classic 30 ft and seeking some advice. Airstream classic has a low clearance on the bottom.
In your Adventures off the beaten path and parking lots, what steps have you take to avoid hitting bottom and possibly damaging your Airstream.

  • Other drivers are short tempered? NEVER! lol… people need to relax and breathe, life is way too short.

  • I really like your new filming backdrop/location. Sort of embodies all your travel trips.
Thanks for your time and effort, filming your travels.
