  • My son and I were put in a very similar situation this last year. Although he has driven the Class A pusher a few times, it was always with me beside him and when we would get close to home, I would back the coach and trailer into our very narrow driveway. I was hit by a falling tree and while leaping for my life, it caught my foot and crushed the smithereens out of it! He drove me into town with our extra van to the immediate care and left me at home. He later ran back up with a friend of his to fetch all our gear and equipment and loaded it on the trailer and drove it home. He said that he did chicken out and dropped the trailer and backed it in with the work van, then backed the motorhome in. It was quite the experience for all of us. I ended up losing about a 1/3 of my left foot a month later and here I am 5 months later returning to work. I just found your channel a few days ago and I really like it. You make a real cute couple and seem very knowledgeable about the content that you put out. I run snowcats and make videos on grooming snowmobile trails and other various items.

  • Nice to see how well you two work together so well!💖🤗👏

  • she is very nice looking and a good driver 👍👍

  • Milk that ankle for as long as you can! It's fun watching your better half do all the work! 😆 seriously, I've turned my ankle several times, very painful!

  • I just found you. Watched your Feb 6 video and had to go back to find out what happened to Aaron's ankle. Best wishes for a fast healing. Chris is very open about how she misses Aaron on her runs and hikes. It's very sweet.

  • Cameras are the best addition to campers for backing up and safe driving blind spot monitoring. I really love my camera even if it's from 1997 and viewable on a hilarious old black and white CRT that has massive contrast problems. But the microphone actually works to listen to whoever is back there steering me in

  • I would have laughed so hard if that dog would of bit your toe on your hurt foot.

  • 10/10 😎 I wish you well in recovery, it took me months, but mine turned blue all the way up to my knee. Someone dug a hole and put the grass back in a football field, we were playing flag football and I found the hole 🤕 my RV was supposed to be delivered this month, Winnebago moved it to May. Like Vickie, my wife passed away from cancer last year, so heading out alone to create some new memories. Keep the great content coming and good luck on the Ultra!

  • wow! Great job! I know I should be able to drive the rig, but I don't even like driving the dually. can't imagine towing straight, let alone backing the fifth wheel!

  • Great video, Chris did awesome! Get well Aaron, that's certainly one way to get Chris fully in the game, ha ha! Enjoy and stay safe out there.

  • I absolutely LOVE the documentary approach you took to the beginning of this video!!! Love, love, love it!

You guys make such a great team. This is probably my favorite video of yours so far. The technical aspects of the video show how much you've grown into your channel and what you do; it's so fun to watch you expand your horizons and learn… you're taking this channel to new levels all the time. The music is fun, the cuts and footage are so good, really fun to watch.

"I don't need to wiggle." Ha! Good job, Chris! This is all so easy when you've done it a hundred times… doing it for the first time can be intimidating. 😉😅
This is the only time I can remember in my life where I haven't given anyone crap about saying "Xcapers" (or "exscape"), and only because I was paying attention to the logo! HOWEVER… I feel compelled to mention that it IS "Escapees", not "Excapees" (it said it in the logo, again… that's like saying "irregarldess", OMG!🤨).

This was a great watch! All-around, you guys are growing and putting out such good content. I really appreciate what you do! Thanks for sharing your travels with us all.

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

  • We are looking at purchasing a f250 with the same engine. What type of gas mileage you guys getting

  • First, GREAT JOB Chris !!
Second, sprains can be worse than a break. One simple rehab trick I was taught in HS was to sit on the edge of table and trace the letters of the alphabet with my foot. Go through the alphabet deliberately tracing with your toes the letters. It is very simple and sounds kind of dumb but the movement really tests and works the strained ankle muscles. Add reps as you can. Several times would be great.

  • That's a good looking Dutchman astoria RV behind guys lol. Was really nice talking to you guys hope your foot gets better soon. We hope to see you guys again.

  • Ouch..so awesome that Chris is so confident, she did a great job. Aaron is the best backseat driver I ever saw, (unless you edited anything out 🙂

  • My wife is clapping for you Chris. Bravo… About the RV; We always dumped the black water first, then closed the valve and then dumped the gray water afterwards. Also, we always put fresh water into the black water tank and dumped that again. We have always been advised to use more Aqua treatment, then they say. Aaron get well soon my friend.

  • Can you tell me the name of your hitch and leaving bars setup name thank you

  • Congrats Chris on your first time driving and backing. My wife and I have been practicing for situations just like yours. She has been driving but just recently has been trying to backup into a site. Practice comes confidence. Btw you should look into chocks as I don’t think xchocks are meant to be used as chocks. They are primarily for stability.

  • Congratulations on the drive and backing. Hope to see you in TN.

  • Outstanding job Chris. Got us thinking we need to “cross train” too. Thanks for the prompt. Aaron, stay off it and be better soon!

  • Hi! I am a outdoor product seller on Amazon. There's a new product that just went on sale in my store, which is a RV cover, Are you interested in this product? Can u help me give some feedback with my product, I can offer you a exclusive discount

  • Backing up a single pwc trailer I gave up on the hand on the bottom of the steering wheel method. Problem is you’re turning the wheel a lot (when learning) that your hand doesn’t stay at the bottom. So now you’re thinking about your hands instead of the trailer.
I found the side mirror method a lot easier. That is, when there is too much trailer in the mirror, turn the wheel towards that mirror to bring the trailer back behind you. Backing up straight the same can be done with the rear view camera. Which ever side the trailer starts to track off to, just turn the wheel in that direction a little to bring her back to center.
Before long you won’t even be thinking about backing up, you’ll just be seeing the obstacles!

  • WOW AWESOME this girl is a gem..safe travels

  • Congratulations on your drive and backing! Backing is difficult but you will learn. You can always pull forward to get a better angle. You need one of those clear 45deg adapters to give the hose better angle down.

  • Good job Chris…very impressive for your first time solo. Aaron is obviously detail oriented and a good instructor. My wife and I have been RV'ing for 20 years, not full time but we travel across the country in our RV on vacations. She's a good driver and although I do most of the driving, I do trust her to help out along the way. We also tow with a Ford truck but we're in a 30' Grand Design. She also helps out with set up and tear down just to make the process quicker and more efficient. We enjoy your videos and are praying for a quick recovery and safe travels!
