ℹ️About the episode:
This really is the ultimate travel trailer towing machine! We’re excited to have the entire bed of our truck back now that we’re towing an Airstream Flying Cloud 30 Bunkhouse, but we made some significant upgrades to the bed including a Bed Slide, BedRug and BAKflip MX4 tonto cover. Having our 60 gal S&B replacement tank is also a convenience we’ve missed. We also installed Airlift air bags with an ARB onboard compressor with a quick disconnect out the bumper for refilling our trailer tires and more! This is the truck we’ll be keeping for the next several years so we wanted it just right!

I like the fact that you didn't talk down to people who don't have an Airstream & just encouraged them to get out. Doesn't matter if you have a tent or a camper shell just go have fun.

So we have a f250 and are wanting to buy a 16k fifth wheel. When dropped the 5th wheel on the hitch there is not much clearance and worried that if we hit a bump it will break the axel. Do you have any recommendations to help with the rear suspension. Air? Add a spring? Spacers?

Love the upgrades. I have fab pages for my upgrades. I started the family camping in a three room tent for two years. Then I spoiled them with a new Winabego 27B

Was there any concern with premature failure to the compressor being under the bed? Seems like dirt and dust as well as moisture could get in the fan.

I'm loving the truck! I'm a long bed guy but I like the way yours looks. I can't wait for the 60 gallon s&b tank to come out for the 07 F350.

I just bought an F250. Why wouldn't you remove the center headrest in the back seat for better visibility? I removed mine on my former F150 that had the sliding window.

I’ve got a 2020 Chevy 2500 with the 6.5 ft bed. I’ve added the backflip however it covers my camera. Is this a Chevy problem or did I order or do something wrong?

What size air tank did you use? I bought the 5 gallon and it won’t fit (by the slightest amount) so had to settle for the 3 gallon tank. I have a 2020 F45O.

I had to laugh when he said “I’m doing all these upgrades because I’m going to have the truck a long time”. From the guy who gets a new Ford every year!

With all that stuff on your rig, your towing capacity is going to be reduced not to mention your mileage.

Your channel is entertaining and very informative. Your enthusiasm and passion is infectious. My wife and I have a 2017 Winnebago Micro Minnie which we tow with a 2016 Tundra. Your new F250 is my dream truck. I’ve decided my next truck will be a 3/4 ton truck. I’m curious what your thoughts are on the maintenance of the Ford diesel. Comparison videos between the power stroke and the new 7.3 gas really demonstrate just how jam packed the power stroke is underneath the hood. I mean to change an alternator a lot must be removed. A diesel sure maintains value though and if you’re planning to keep the new rig do you have any concerns given all the new EPA silliness (my opinion) that plague the new diesels. I’d love a video of those concerns and your decisions to stick with diesel. After all the new 7.3 gasser or Chevrolet’s 6.6 gasser would tow that airstream.
    All the best,

For that bed slide I contacted the company and said are you nuts drilling holes in the bed to mount this? Use the damn 5th wheel pucks most people have on these trucks or the truck bed bolts that hold the truck bed in place way stronger and NO HOLES

I went from an Aliner with an Explorer Sportrac, to and F150 for the Aliner, to F150 with Aliner then. 28’ Jayco, then an F250 CCLB with a Pilgrim 306RLSS, to an F450 with a Carriage Carrilite CT36XTRM5. My biggest frustration throughout was RV build quality. The flat roof in the Jayco phoned water and they did nothing. The Carriage is junk. Cushman and Emahiser drove it into the ground with warranty claims. Cost me $6k to fix slide roof because Carriage didn’t install the roof windows according to specs. You could have bought a long bed and got 48 gallon fuel tank. My compressor was in tool box with 2 five gallon receivers hanging under the box ahead of the sheet wells.

Marc, I have installed a 60 gal S&B tank to my F350 and was wondering if your miles to empty is reading correctly with the larger tank. When I fill my tank I see a range of 550 miles and then it drops slowly as I put miles on it.

Looking to add a set of air bags to my 2014 Toyota Tundra. Got a camper that weighs little over 8000lbs. When camper hook up can’t get truck no where near level. I installed a set of helper springs. No help. Do you think air bags will help or to much camper for truck?

    Thanks
