ℹ️ About the Episode
When we meet people on the road, we learn that there is usually one person spearheading the whole “RV thing.” In fact, there is usually one person in the family that finds and watches KYD. Sometimes, a spouse or the rest of the family joins in later. The same can be true for RVing. In some cases, it’s difficult to get everyone “on board,” so we wanted to share some ideas to help your whole crew align on the same RV vision (or not). This week, we were lucky enough to connect with Aaron and Jocelyn Freeman, otherwise known as the New Power Couple. If you’re interested in watching the entire webinar, click the link above. *This was recorded for KYD55, our 55-day healthy habit challenge. But so much of the ideas shared are applicable to all relationships, so we think it’s a good watch for everyone!

  • I really really enjoyed this video and probably need to watch this video a few more times. My wife and I enjoy RVing. However, we definitely need to communicate etc. more and I definitely need to get better at communicating and communicating my expectations and learning my wife's expectations etc. Thank you!

  • there are heli goldmining adventures that leave you there for a few weeks in alaska

  • Wow, great video. Your production value is so great too. This is like watching a great series on TV; great cast, video, interesting subjects. And I need this for my wife too!

  • If she won't go, and that really is your wife. It's a no brainer, sell the RV, set it on fire, burn it. No RV is worth losing her.

  • Thank you for the "start where you can, even if it's small" thought. We were saving up for a motorhome when life took a quick turn. My reliable little car finally gave up on me when I hit a deer. I had to split the motorhome funds on a daily driver. Hmmm . . . when I looked at the various options, I realized I could get a good size SUV and a teeny tiny towable. Serenity, our 18 foot hybrid, was welcomed in to the fold. It worked! She let us RV and have fun for two glorious seasons. I'm back to purchasing an older motorhome now, but we would have had to wait so much longer for our travels if I hadn't started small first. Thank you!

  • My girlfriend and I are Paramedics. I told her that an RV has no chance of bedbugs and she immediately forgot hotels even existed. On the more logical side, every night I stay in hotel, pays for my RV for an entire month or more and we get to choose the rules.

  • Hello from Canada – My husband had I enjoyed your videos and tips and tricks for many years and they encouraged us to get our first travel trailer and go rving on weekends on Vancouver Island. We had plans to upgrade to a larger trailer and take bigger trips once we retired, however sadly my husband passed away suddenly a few months ago and I have since sold the trailer and house and moved back to Ontario to be near family. I hope to one day get the opportunity to go rving again and travel and explore and will continue to watch your videos and remember that not all of those who wander are lost.

  • I have to say thank you for your encouragement to just get what you can afford and go. I got a truck this month and found a trailer this weekend!! I am so excited to get started. I have been dreaming of this for a year and it has finally happened! Older small trailer, but I really get to adventure now and cannot wait for my first time!

  • Marc and Trish, You guys are so enjoyable to watch. There are a lot of good RV YouTubers out there but what seperates you both from the rest is it feels like I am just sitting there with you and you are having a normal conversation. Your ability to communicate simple ideas (and complex ones as well, this video is a great example) seperates you from the rest. I have never been the type of person to "follow" anyone on YouTube but I find myself looking forward to your new videos each week. Keep up the great work. Maybe one day we will see you out there. Looking forward to the arrival of your cookbook "Small Space, Big Taste".

  • Love you guys!!! Thx for another great video!

  • My wife and I had the same idea for RVing. Camp in our favorite places and discover new ones. My family had a completely different picture. More along the lines of cousin Eddie.

  • Your relationship "experts " are way overthinking things. They are soooo boring

  • I have watched this video twice! I even sat down with my husband to make sure we were on the same page with our goals and what we consider fun. Thank you SOOOO much for this video! You guys are helping so many people!

  • My partner made me watch this. You guys are great. We will be novices

  • Aw, guys. This was such a helpful episode. Thanks for this.

  • Do you know us? This video was great and I will make my hubby watch it! Thanks. Also, the slowed down voice made me think of Silence of the Lambs…yikes!

  • "We recently did a video where the pop-up camper is the unsung hero – totally underrated". What video is that? I want to watch that, but I thought I watched all your videos! Which video was that in?

Mark says "start where you are", and where we are is in a pop-up camper pulled by our Highlander. It's a little limited, but it gets the job done! My husband wanted a real bed, and I wanted to be able to cook inside and eat inside, out of the bugs, rain, wind, sun and/or cold. It does all of that! It's not perfect, but the important thing is we can get started, we can get camping.

    Tell me more about pop-ups!

  • Last year I was ready to sell everything and hit the road, but my husband isn't interested. I'm now planning to go for 6 months when my youngest gets out of high school in 2025, so I guess I'll be going alone.

  • Hi guys I want to get 294gebg but wife wants to get 29j. So I want to get tt so we can get on road and my wife wants to get our long term camper and going to take more money ! So how do I tell her or try and convince her to get to just so we can get out on the road ?

  • I started not to watch this episode because I thought it wasn't for me. However, from the time I clicked play I was hooked. Everyone can learn something from the suggestions you made. I love that you are so open, honest, and real. Kepp the fun coming!

  • …..so I knew I was an a$$ hole…….you two have shown me that I am a total and complete one……but thank you……changes to follow

  • Great video! Thank you. Marc, the hidden agenda is real…and not advisable as you say. lol. Appreciate y'all.
