  • Kill every one of those aggravating destructive Rotan. Anyway you can kill them, kill them. I hate those things. Can cost you thousands of dollars.

  • Great video ✌🏾 I have to de winterize also
    Thanks

  • You're not supposed to fill your HW tank with antifreeze. Next time drain the HW tank and use the bipass valve.

  • Never mind, sorry I see what your doing now. I take cathodic protection out of W. Hester for winter. Nice job

  • You should have taken the water heater plug out for winter and switched water supply line into water heater by pass mode.

  • Not sure if you are still responding to this thread, but I just purchased a Starcraft (2014) that has been winterized. My question is, after you used the spring fresh, did you let it sit for a few hours, a day, or after agitating can you drain it?

  • great video really helpful on first time DE winterizing

  • Awesome, awesome video! Thank you so much for taking the time to make it. I loved how you took your time, but kept it short, and to the point of what I needed to learn. Iam a visual learner so seeing what you were doing was so helpful. I do have a question, have you heard of people use vinegar instead of spring fresh, or bleach? Again thank you, thank you. LeeAnn. Do you have a winterizing video. If so I can't wait to watch.

  • i learned to not buy an adco cover, whats a good one to buy?

  • HI does the rv need to be connected to electricity in order for the pump to kick on? New to all of this. Thanks!

  • Very helpful. We have a 20' Airstream we need to de-winterize. It hold 23 gal. of fresh water. You said the fresh water tank should be about 2/3 full before adding Spring Fresh. How much Spring Fresh should I use? Thanks again for the informative video.

  • Why is there any water in heater, arent you suppose to drain out all water from heater during winterizing?

  • Great video thank you. I'm wondering about the bounce sheets to keep the mice away, did it work ?

  • So I just bought a 2016 Minnie Winnie tow-trailer. My wife took it out on it's maiden voyage over the holiday weekend. When it came to shower, we found the water (after being connected to city line with our installed regulator) only trickled. The pressure was low. Again, being connected to the city line (60-80 PSI), we found the shower pressure extremely low. Hmm, any ideas? Would welcome your (and YouTubers) ideas! Thank you! 🙂

  • As a new trailer owner, my wife and I appreciate the explanations. Simple, easy to follow! When I bought the trailer, no one took the time to explain how it works, lol. Will be checking out more of your videos!

  • I'm in the springs as well, just dewinterized yesterday,no leaks this year.
Where would I go to get national forest free camping area info?

  • What is spring fresh? After cleaning the tank and adding fresh water, why ass spring fresh? I'm a first time ever owner. Thanks

  • I really wanted to watch your video look like it would be interesting but that little dog couldn't take it.

  • outstanding video, i just purchased my jayco. in late oct. so it was winterized at camping world but again thank for a good video. i had run across a lot of different ones , but me being in longmont, i figured i trust a fellow coloradan, for the info..

  • Thanks for the video! YouTube is great!
As we all know, having a trailer or RV means maintenance baby!

  • why not just empty the tanks for the winter and air purge the system

  • After flushing all the antifreeze from your lines, you added the water cleaner or deodorizer how do make sure that is fully out of your clean water tank? I dont imagine you would want to just leave the faucets on till the clean water tank is empty, couldnt that burn up the water pump? Thanks for all the help. New to campers.

  • Help me understand the point of the LOW POINT Values. Can these be used to drain the antifreeze at all or no?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Great video! I dont like using a bucken to dump the black tank, when i got my 40 year old trailer i thought "there wont be any poo left in the tank so i will domp it in a 3 gallon tote" Fail it almost over flowed onto my driveway! be carefull with letting antifreeze drip onto the ground! if your dog get one drop of it, it will make them have a very painfull and slow death!

  • Thanks so much for this video. We just bought your first travel trailer and plan on taking it out this weekend and are nervous about de-winterizing it correctly. This was nicely done because you didn't rush through anything!

  • Thanks that was helpful.  I have an Starcraft 176RB which looks pretty well the same.  Unfortunately I could not obtain the Fresh Water Tank sanitizer and had to use diluted bleach to get rid of the antifreeze smell in the water.  End result after flushing was good and now all my water has no smell or odour.

  • Thanks for the video.  We're bringing home our first camper with plumbing here in a couple days.  You made that look a lot easier than all the junk I've read online.

  • why do you put rv antifreeze in the hot water tank when you have a hot water bypass valve?

  • Actually, you are not supposed to put antifreeze in the hot water heater, if you follow manufacturer's directions.  You remove the drain plug from the hot water heater when you winterize and set the plug aside.  The water heater won't freeze because no water will be remaining in the water heater.  Also, why do you put antifreeze in the fresh water tank?   The directions I've read is you drain the water tanks from the lowest point which is usually located inside the trailer.  There is a hose that you stick into the container of antifreeze.  You close the valves to the water heater, turn on the heater bypass valve, turn on the pump and open the water faucets one by one until all the water runs clear.

  • Thanks for the information. We just bought our trailer and need to dewinterize it.

  • Why is it necessary to drain the holding tanks?

  • You put anti- freeze in your water heater???…. This is why you have a bypass valve at the front of the water here so you don't do that. You're supposed to just keep the water heater empty and dry throughout the winter

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very helpful.

  • Where do you find that blue shit you put in ? Like Canadian tire or rv dealers?

  • so if I use the glue sheets to catch the mice, and the mice get in there and die while camper is sitting unused for 4-5 months, wouldn't it smell pretty bad? Or is the dryer sheets to help with the odor? Thanks
