  • The seal on the RV I just purchased was really old. I couldn't get it out from the top. I had the toilet out to replace the closet seal so I turned the toilet upside down. From this position it really easy to reach in from the botttom and pull the old seal out and put the new one in. Thank you for the video. It was a lot easier than separating the upper and lower portions of the toilet.

  • Good info, no bull, right to the point. One question. Is there such a thing as change in? Is that different from change out? 😁

  • I watched this over and over and it looks like you installed it with the flat side up after saying to install it with flat side down. Can you clarify? Thanks

  • Thank you veryl good video very well done and easy to follow

  • While traveling to the Dallas area I had to replace mine. Called around to some RV park places in the area and these thieves wanted $45 to $50 for one seal, when you can get a pair of them on Amazon for $10 or less.

  • Well I tried this without knowing what model toilet I have and bought the wrong seal. But I cleaned up the old seal and lubed it with RV toilet seal lube/conditioner and put it back in and now it works great!

  • Just the video I was looking for in order to include replacing the flush seal along with my repairs for replacing a leaking water valve on my RV toilet. My gasket kit also came with the closet flange seal. Your video solved my problem on the best way to replace the flush seal. Even though the flush seal was not leaking, it seemed prudent to replace it while the toilet was removed. Thanks for the great video.

  • We have a fifth wheel and the toilet smells about 10 seconds after flushing. We have tried cleaning the holding tanks and nothing has helped. Do you think it could be a seal? Or need a new toilet?

  • Hello, thank you for the video. We replaced the seal, and it continues to leak. We double checked to see that it was installed properly and it was. The ball does not fit tightly with the seal. Could there be something wrong with the ball? Is there a way to replace that. Thank you

  • What should i do if the part the seal goes on to is missing im trying to fix it but cant find anything on the part in the middle that the seal goes around

  • You can leave the flapper closed to put the seal on. Use lube.

  • Very important- leave the flapper closed so you can easily put the seal on. Trying to have the flapper open is almost impossible to get the seal on. Use plenty of lubricant on both sides. After you have the seal in place, push the edges on with your finger so that the edges are even around.

  • Thank you really do appreciate this

  • Thanks for this video. Just changed my seal. Was touch and go for a bit, but I got it in. There is an inner ring at the base and an outer ring more the size of the seal. I was trying to fit the seal into the inner ring. Finally figured it out and it went in perfectly. I used Pam cooking spray as a lubricant. Didn't have anything else on hand. Worked fine.

  • What kind of toilet do you have, I didn’t know I could do this without taking the toilet apart

  • Very good information thank you πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • Hi Woodzman . I have to let you know that I tried to replace the seal through the top of the toilet as you shown, but after many attempts, I could not get it in place. Then I found another video that showed separating the two pieces of the toilet made it so much easier. I wish you included the obtion of that method as well so people can go that route when the other doesn't work. But I guess I should thank you for this because it taught me to watch several videos teaching how to do things to get the best perspective that works best.

  • I tried it but still don't get it, maybe if the camera was closer

  • Nice to see this so simple. Just found this issue with our loo. Smeared some vaseline on it to try and keep a seal in the meantime and ordered that seal pack. Thanks. I was thinking I'd have to pull the toilet apart.

I'm really happy it's so easy.

  • Thanks for this great video. I have had to replaced two gaskets this year. May have a bad ball valve.

  • Thanks for the video we are having this problem. So we will fox it now. Thanks

  • Thank you I need to replace mine. I'm going to buy mine off that link you put in your video

  • Are these a standard size or do I need to find out what size my particular toilet seal is?

  • So many want you to take the whole toilet out. Probably to avoid accidents dropping the seal in the tank!
