I own an auto shop but would love to start driving on my free time, I already tow trailers all day for my shop and love traveling just wondering what your input is on that.

  • I am glad I found this video. I have a RAM 3500HD that is just sitting unused and I am looking for a career change. We bought the truck to haul an RV and ended up parking the RV and it hasn't moved in three years. I was going to sell it, but a friend suggested I look into hauling.

  • How do I find a company that hires hot shot drivers?

  • I remember at truck stop old truck driver telling me hot shot business started by one eyed people. After Vietnam War there were guys who drove trucks prior to going to war and after war they lost their eyeball arm or leg they were not allowed to drive semi trucks so they started with regular trucks. Now days these trucks are big they drove small trucks like nowdays midsized Ford ranger or tacoma he told me that his brother was pretty successful then, it was all cash and load limit was when you tire hits deck I-beam it had to be at least 6" From the bottom of the deck to drive comfortably, they fn burned trucks like matches and didn't care, trucks were very cheap. I told him now days truck will cost you 80k min, and he started laughing, truck can pull what it can't handle including the trailer. He gave me advise stay under 6k lbs get gas truck fueling will be problem but that's nothing don't invest in trucks, purchase cheap flip it cheap, big truck maintenance and big trailer maintenance will run you out of business.

  • Heard a ton about you from other sites – you're influence definitely is spread far and wide! Appreciate the advice you give in your channel – I've learned a ton from you and the other drivers. Hot shot trucking is a fabulous industry
