Hymer Aktiv Camper Van Review After 6 Months of Van Life
HYMER AKTIV CAMPER VAN REVIEW AFTER 6 MONTHS OF VAN LIFE // This is a Hymer Aktiv 1.0 van review (a class b review) after van living in a class b camper van for the last 6 months. When I first purchased the 2018 Hymer Aktiv, a van conversion camper, I did a complete Hymer Aktiv walk through in my camper van tour video and followed it up with a campervan tour Q&A video. Since then, I’ve been living in a van full-time as a solo woman rver and enjoying the van life. Now that I’ve been living in the Hymer Aktiv 2018 campervan for 6 months, I’ve learned many things that I really enjoy about the Hymer and vanlife, like the volstart system, the cassette toilet, and the ecoktrek system; however there are some things that need improvement on the Hymer rv which is on the RAM Promaster chassis. Erwin Hymer could improve the wet bathrooms and the low ground clearance of the propane tank and UHG to make rv living full time better.
Van dwelling is becoming more and more popular and people are looking for small rvs and van conversion vehicles like the Promaster van. I decided to buy the Hymer Aktiv instead of doing my own van life conversion because it had most everything I wanted for RV living.

I doubt you'd notice this when you were editing this on a laptop, but when I watch this on my TV the subwoofer is playing a loud rumble. It kinda sounds like thunder. Gentle suggestion is to filter out any sound less than 80hz.
I love the van and i believe i could definitely overlook those few cons to live in it just as you do. There is no perfect van until someone invents something that can fold out and be larger like a children’s transformer toy when parked . Maybe someday in the future.there will be low roof van that has hydraulics to make a high top when parked. That way you could drive into all city parking garages

Amber, Did you purchase your Hymer Van brand new? And if so, was it already built out as a finished RV inside for traveling? WHERE, (city & state) can the Hymer Van be purchased?

I bought my Class C to live in full time about 3 months ago. I really wanted a Class B, but caved to family who thought the whole idea was bonkers, lol. While my Class C is beautiful, I should have stuck to my guns. Oh well, it just means I'm still hunting for my perfect home, and thats kind of fun too😊 Thanks for your wonderful videos!

I'm looking at a 2019 Hymer this weekend, your video is excellent. I'm somewhat focused on driving comfort, seats look great; but what level of noise at 60 mph on highway. Is it like driving an SUV or a UHaul? Do you ever get to Phoenix area?

Your RV looks great and your insights make a lot of sense. Did you make any upgrades that you talked about? Shower? Table? Spare Tire? And now that Hymer is BK, how is the ownership?
What is an open window good for without a bug screen. Replace your table there are better ones available.
Just curious, is the table big enough to accommodate two monitors? I am trying to figure out if I can work at the table and I have to have two monitors (minimum)
