And don’t think this is just for families or kids! This is the best way to remind yourself of all the things you’ll really do to make this a Summer to Remember!
We had planned to RV to Alaska during Summer 2020 (from California), but decided against that when I found out I was expecting in about November of '19. So we planned to go to beautiful Northeast Canada (Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, etc.) and take the ferry over to Maine and then head back home to have the baby at the end of the summer. I was so excited when I saw this video of yours back when you initially posted it and thought that maybe we'd meet up–but figured we wouldn't since you'd be way ahead of us cuz of the school year. Well, joke was on us all! Canada was still closed and Acadia NP ended up being our "turn-around" point. Still hope to RV to Alaska with the kids one of these days (2021 the border was still closed so we went to upstate NY again and back).
It is now 2022, and my wife and I have sold our smaller 25’ TT and bought a bigger GD Reflection 315 RLTS TT and are looking forward to some longer trips including “out west”. This video is VERY helpful, and even explaining all the various apps and how they help. Thank you SO MUCH for blazing the trail for us.
Trying to catch up on most of your informative videos
Hey guys, Hope all is well!! I know you did a vid on USPS on the road but can't find it? Can you help? Thanks
I'm a super planner and my wife is lets just go! Together we balance each other out. I like your big rock analogy.
I love your videos, they are so educational and dreamy, thanks for sharing ❤️🥰🚎👍
What was the animal next to the house at the 8:20 frame? It didn’t look like Charlie
I'm looking for some of these apps and can't find them. Are these ios only?
I just don't understand how people can take off 3 months to go play in their RVs. I have to wait until I retire. Let alone pay for these hugely expensive RVs, and not have a JOB!
You the luckiest man alive, you have a beautiful wife, who works her but off. She does everything and even a big share of the driving. Whereas you do not much at all..
Guys.. I had to skip to 9:00 for the start of the video. I know you want that juicy ad revenue and all but.. jeez.
Which apps work best in Mexico?
Couldn't stand to watch your entire post (even though I wanted to). Over 5 minutes of your personal merchandise advertised for sale, and the an advertisement before yo hit the 6th minute on a 32:44 video. No thanks. God knows how many ads you plan to stuff in a little better than a half hour.
Sygic is a navigation app that transforms your smart phone or tablet into a gps that dwarfs a Garmin in capability and does not require cell coverage (except when you download maps). We used it to tour west of the Rockies for a few years. It has coverage where Google maps didn’t, like in the desert where cell coverage is non existent. 200 million people use it. They also have truck version that is great for large RVs. Has lots of features. Try it, you’ll like it. I have nothing to do with the company. Just a delighted user.
Remember now….y'all is singular. All y'all is plural.
Hi, I just started watching your Chanel and I’ve learned a lot.
We are planning out first trip from Arizona to Washington for Easter week coming up. We have not rent the RV yet, do you have any recommendation for a specific RV rental place? Also
Our big stones would be Zion, yellow stone, and Seattle .. any specific suggestion ?
I got excited when you said Alabama 😭😭😭
Must see green lights….ha ha
You both are lovely, I can see why you have beautiful children 😀 Great video and thank you so much for sharing. So, I am going to share with you a tip I found. You've heard when booking and hitting the refresh button constantly, for cancellations? CAMPNAB is a software program that does it for you! It notifies you so you can jump on it 😀
Hey when you use the TD Logistics gas card at a truck stop do you have to go inside first or can you just swipe it at the pump like the big boys?
Anxious to look into some of the app suggestions from this video! You will love Glacier. We are hoping to be there this summer for our third visit. Put the Highline Trail on your list for Glacier-it is amazing! You can do the full 11 miles or just go a couple miles in from Logan Pass Visitor Center and then backtrack. The views are amazing! Hope you truly have another Summer to Remember!
Love the tips! What walked through the background at 8:20!?!
How live some place like a big city and no place to keep rig ,how do this ?
We use OpenSignal every trip.
Love your videos. I've been searching your site looking for a solution to a problem I have. I've also searched other sites without any luck. What I'm looking for is a solution to boosting my wifi in the RV and the truck without having to buy two separate units. I was hoping to get a unit I could install in the RV, but have enough reach or coverage to cover the truck when I'm pulling the RV. Any help is appreciated.
Things to do
We pick a spot where we can have several day trips. Then after we arrive we find a local eatery preferably breakfast and ask the waitress if I have only one thing to do in this area what would you recommend. We have meany gems in the rough.
@25:55 one set of Andersons? The other axel down, seems wonky? Can someone explain this I'm a noob… Thanks!
What was in that tea lol trish seems more excited 😆 love the channel!
Soooo the borders DIDN’T open .. do you have a video to talk about the whole agile
Someone probably already asked but —why why did you swap your toyhauler for the airstream? Was it too big?
Great tips and tricks for planning RV adventures!! Thanks for keeping it positive 🙂
Years ago I used Delorme Street Atlas GPS. A tremendous feature was the ability to enter your preferred milage and/or time limit for the day. It allowed you to divide a long trip up into 300 mile legs, or 5 hour legs, etc. Is there an online site or program that does that? Planning a 4000 mile trip next year and would like to have a planner that automates some choices for daily destinations. Thanks!
We have had our RV for 13 years now (2007 Dutchmen T@B Clamshell), and we have been weekend warrior campers and single destination vacation campers so far. We are now planning a 3 week cross country for next March across the Southwest – Alabama – California and back. I know you said you don't reserve every night, but for some reason, I feel compelled to do so. 3 nights of our trip is a rally, so that is a foregone conclusion, but for some reason, I feel compelled to have every night reserved (and paid for in advance), I've been obsessively route planning, and searching for grocery stops every other night as our rig is tiny, so can't carry too much fresh food. The plan is to limit our travel days to around 300 miles or less, and limiting ourselves to "Roadside America" quick stops on travel days. We have several two night stops for more extensive bucket list stuff such as Grand Canyon, "the Dam Tour", Zion, Graceland. So also, in your "save money" video, you said planning was also key to saving money. I think this will work for us. Also, because I've been stalking Google Maps quite a bit, I found one of our segments routed us through a VERY windy road. Glad I caught that. Now I know to go a bit further, and stay on the interstate.
If you’re anywhere in central New York I want to know
Love your videos, especially when Caleb‘s in it and your golden retriever. But I have a question. Because of COVID-19 and the amount of people that are supposedly traveling. Are you having a hard time finding RV spots
