We learned about the total solar eclipse WAY too late, only a week before it will happen! So we take in one last beautiful site in the Northeast before hightailing it down to Kentucky to be in the path of totality.

Today was our last day in the White Mountain National Forest whether we liked it or not. Our 14 day stay limit has been reached so we have to leave our site. Before we left though we wanted to make sure that we went to Cathedral Ledge to witness the breathtaking sites seen from the sheer drop cliffs.
Our plans to head to Maine were broken once we learned about the total solar eclipse. We had no idea this was happening and with less than a week until the eclipse we needed to get into the path of totality as soon as possible. So it’s goodbye New Hampshire, hello Kentucky!
