I have one of these washer/dryers. It’s a total piece of shit. Not worth repairing.
I got so sick of troubleshooting it. Eventually, so many times after being sick of not being able to get my dirty wet clothes out (because it wouldn’t let me open the door after it malfunctions), that I ended up getting pissed and just ripped the door off to get my stupid clothes out. Worst goddamn machine on the planet

Now I have to figure out a way to dismantle the bastard in place just to get it the hell out of my rv

What about the option of letting clothes air dry and just having a washing machine? Seems like it would take a lot less energy.

According to my RV friends, put a dry towel when it's time for to dry. The dry towel will absorb some of the wetness and won't take quite as long to dry. They also use the wool dryer balls…

I love your videos – you both are perfect together !!! Your videos are open and honest and very helpful and informative. My wife INSISTS on a W/D if we get a motor home, but I have read many times about that COMBO W/D with many complaints, concerns, and problems. BUT, many say "I would never camp unless I had a W/D combo, or seperates." Bless you and yours – stay well !!!

Great video! I have a similar if not, the same unit. (It came with my camper lol) I have found that selection 4, is the same as a speed wash on a regular. My loads take about an hour and half max, unless I overload it and then I have to dry it twice. I do about 3 loads a day during busy weeks. We have kids and pets. This has been a life saver. Is yours ventless? Mine is not, my sisters was and hers was horrible!

These 2 in 1's are widely used in Europe and the Middle East. Having lived in both areas with my wife and 3 children for many years, it was an all day task to do laundry. I do not miss these slugs.
P.S. On my longest assignment (10 years in Egypt) we gave up and had to spend the big bucks to get the American style washer and dryer.

Look at stackable or apartment size too. When I built my mh I considered these. Also have friends that use them.
    Great tips.
    Great learning of your experiences!

You would need to do the clean cycle, then dry it with nothing in the drum. After that I normal clean the lint from out of the back. Also clean the drain. I usually do this every other month. Or every month if I have the time.

This couple is never happy. I couldn't stand John's voice, even for one video. If I want to hear someone complain I would listen to my wife.

In the video you say you would not buy it. I see that some comments were helpful. Has that changed your verdict? What would you recommend? We have a 5th wheel with hookups in the toy hauler section and are ready to pull the trigger but aren't sure what to get! Any suggestions? Thanks for awesome content!

We have upgraded our 5th Wheel from a 2007 Forest River that we love, to a 2021 Forest River we are so excited about and will take possession of Tuesday. There were 3 upgrades I had to have! One of the things I wanted to upgrade to was a washer/dryer – We were totally warned off the 2 in 1 – so we got a stackable. Can’t wait to see how it works. We do NOT RV full-time. We go several times a year – we plan to start going 1-2 times a month. We are an hour and a half from our favorite place. Can’t wait. Also, new in the 2021 is our upgraded bathroom – it feels like a real bathroom it’s soo spacious and we have double sinks!! The toilet is positioned correctly! Not against the counter so your knees are slammed up! 😊 My husband is 6’4 and the shower is 7ft!! And the master bedroom is a walk through which means we walk through to the master bath. We have a powder room off the kitchen. The 3rd upgrade was a generator – I want to be able to go out to the family ranch and hang out where my in-laws are with our own place! So the generator is critical! Love RVIng, but you do have to love to be together! But I maintain if you can’t get along in an RV you aren’t going to get along in a 4,000 sq ft house either. 😊♥️

Hi you guys are Amazing 🙂 THANK YOU FOR SHARING… In the Past the DEALERS for Truck and RV are Not User Friendly if you know what i mean..Im working on my 3rd Fifth wheel and Towing Truck. It's crazy how much Due Diligence you have to do. FOR example I prefer Gas version so The debate is between the New Ford 7.3 Dually CREWCAB and The GMC 6.2 Gas. Some videos say GMC gets better gas mileage and the ride is much smoother than the Ford BUT the rear seat in the GMC is uncomfortable the tow mirrors are difficult to see with etc etc. My fifth wheel choice is between Alliance 310/340 and The Grand Design Solitude 34ft/37ft

What washer / dryer did you end up with and do you recommend it over the Splendide combo?

I’ve had the single washer and dryer. I now have two machines instead of one and I love the two machines because as one load is drying I can wash a 2nd load instead of waiting for the single machine to wash and dry.

They havea ventless, and vented style Splendie. The vented one works best. Not great but better. I have a separate washer and dryer. The 110 ones sold by Camping World. Washer still only does smaller loads, but still washes very well. but dryer (vented out side of trailer) works great. Maybe you can just use washer and find seperate room for a dryer. Good luck to you.🇺🇸

I got a Giantex Full Auto washer and a separate Panda dryer. For both alliances it was about $600 give or take. It's compact and perfect for Rv's and Campers and I highly recommend it. They also sell a shelf to put the dryer above the washer to help with space. It doesn't take as long to get stuff washed and dried. I considered purchasing the same one you have but the reviews weren't promising. Hope you find what works for you! Stay safe.

Just wondering how did you get so much water inside of your washer machine my water doesn't even go over the bumps inside my drum and I have the exact same washer dryer you have.

Just a thought if you go with a residential stack unit. Have a dedicated electrical circuit too the power pole installed. That may help 👍🏼

I love my Splendide 2000. Did I miss it, how much laundry detergent amount or poundage of clothes? How many shirts at a time? Also for a better drying expect you must take out the clothes and give them a shake. They will dry much faster and fewer wrinkles.
