  • This trailer really captures the spirit of the original teardrops. A bed on wheels with some storage. Perfect for tent campers that are sick of setting up tents and getting blown over in a storm.

  • True that this 'road toad' is one of the lightest and most likely doesn't take on leak damage, but it's still around $10k to buy it. I'd rather get the 'runaway campers' for around $6k which are only about 100lbs heavier, but thousands of dollars cheaper.

  • Nice! I'm wondering if it's possible to add your own cabinetry to the galley in the non-Tote version. It's a little on the stark side. Any experience with that? I wonder about anchoring cabinetry into the surfaces of the galley, in particular.

  • Max weight added 600 for total of 1000. Feel like it could handle more if they bulked up the frame 9:53 seems a bit lacking Id sacrifice weight for something more robust.

  • Cool looking trailer … be fun in a wind l expect 😂

  • I need to give this teardrop some consideration. Looking for something small, affordable and easy to tow with small vehicle for quick get away weekend to supplement our 30' RV. Love the 30' RV but it limits where you can go and not really a quick get away for 1 – 2 people.

  • Can you give some insight on the effects of no insulation? What is it like in above and below average temperatures?

  • Dang, the price is like 9k? No thanks. I would rather get something I can stand up in for less.

  • I wish you would show us the link to the video that you show of the woman who personalized her Road Toad. I’d like to see her what she ended up doing with hers.

  • 1 Would be good if they made so could access galley both from outside and from inside (would need to be able to adjust inside somehow to enable this). Wouldn’t have to go outside to cook. Some ingenuity needed for this!
2 How secure can are these teardrop campers – for the occupant (not just theft)?

  • I was just on their site and the abode base model before adding anything, is $8948.
Looks like a pretty good unit though.

  • If I come to your shop this week do you have one I can purchase of the abode model?

  • My concern is how does this hold up against harsh winds? Or an animal attack if you jump in to get away from something wild like a bear, elk or cougar?

  • I bought a couple of blemished camper tables to add onto my Boondocker since they were the right size and material make up for outdoor use. Great deal and they dropped shipped them to my door. Marine grade supplies came with….

That ultra 560 will be in my driveway someday

  • We just put an order in for the road toad tote. We were leaning towards the road toad, as it was a great product fora great price and your video swung us over. Thanks!

  • Give it different wheels and tow bar, make it a little narrower, and you could even tow it with an electric bike or a moped.

  • Ok, cool, lightweight, not made of wood… unless you option. It heavily then you are looking at nearly $10k…

  • I want something to pull behind my now owned 370z or a mini Cooper. I intend to go to Florida in winters and stay in this. Is there plug ends inside for say electric blanket when it turns cold and to plus in a hot plate in the back. Thanks. Can’t wait to hear from you.. oh Can I get it in Red

  • But can it be towed behind a motorcycle being that light?…. It would be great

  • For the same price, buy a used mini van, and sleep in it, and spend the saved $2k on making it an pretty awesome place to live for a while.

  • I like how there's a company that is not charging 20k for a bed on an 8 foot trailers. I'll pay 6k for that.

  • Is there an off-road version? If not, does it do OK on rough terrain? Also, do they ship?

  • The cargo road toad totes is 59" x 87" inside according to the website. If your going to make something that can hold cargo, why not make it 11" longer to hold a 4 x 8 sheet which would give it a lot more versatility?

  • I don't build and sell trailers, so I certainly am aware of my experience in such mater. However. Trailers are cheap, and boxes are cheaper, some of the car prices on these things, things not as complicated as the trunk in most cars, are ridiculous. Talking about composites, and fiberglass bodies, brings to mind another waterproof, trailerable: Boats. And you sure don't have to pay 20K to get a 6 foot boat that some of these micro miracle trailers cost. The Road Toad, warts and all, seems to be more realistically priced, considering it is a vehicle, and there are quite a few systems.
