Long travel days are a pain right? As full time RVers we try to keep travel time down below six hours, or three hundred miles. However, situations arise where we need to travel all day. Today is such a time.

We’ve grown used to driving all day towing our RV behind us. Even with five pets in the truck with us – a dog, two cats, and two rabbits – traveling for thirteen hours still isn’t that bad for us, this is what we do after-all!

We’re making such a long trip because we need to be in Seattle, Washington for Christmas and we have to drive all the way from southern California in the Mojave National Preserve. We are using Chico, California as a stop-over point halfway to Seattle.

Typically we snowbird for the winter which means we head south to the warm and dry desert climates of Arizona or southern California. This year however, we migrate backwards to the cold wet of the Pacific Northwest.
