Motorhome becomes airborne, launches off bridge (Bremerton, WA)
BREMERTON, WASHINGTON — On Friday, October 16, 2020, Troy Cantrell, 71, was driving his motorhome to the shop for a radiator repair when he suffered was has been reported as a “heart condition.” Cantrell’s motorhome sideswiped a concrete barrier on the west side of Warren Avenue, becoming airborne before crossing all lanes of traffic and crashing through another concrete barrier and a guardrail, coming to rest just short of the Port Washington Narrows. The motorhome came to rest on a steep embankment near the north end of Bremerton’s Warren Avenue Bridge. Cantrell never regained consciousness and no other parties were injured from the accident, the entirety of which was captured on a low-resolution Kitsap Transit bus camera.
The Warren Avenue Bridge crosses the Port Washington Narrows and connects East Bremerton to West Bremerton. Constructed in 1958, a 2014 traffic study determined that on average weekdays it carries approximately 38,000 vehicles. The bridge carries a 20-inch steel water main and 4-inch gas line beneath the sidewalk along the east side of the bridge, and a bank of electrical conduits beneath the west sidewalk.

Pro tip: ALWAYS stop past the accident, so you can leave after a few hours. Get pinned in by emergency vehicles and cranes- you ain’t going home today.
I live in Bremerton. It was pretty wild. They had to close the whole bridge to get the equipment in big enough to get the RV up and out.
Why is my hometown always famous for something random like this. All the traffic got directed from the warren ave bridge to the manette bridge and oh my was the traffic terrible that day
Didn't see anything 😕
OK but irrelevant video
didn't the government say they use ppls money to design a guard rail that will direct an accident inwards n not over the barrier n yes i no this is a bridge rail but all that money n no guard rail here!!
Cop beat the tow truck. Miracles never cease.
Should of not been able to drive such a beast or at all. Old folks are always dying on the roads
"The bridge carries a 20-inch steel water main and 4-inch gas line beneath the sidewalk along the east side of the bridge, and a bank of electrical conduits beneath the west sidewalk"
This could have ended much worse.
There could have been more serious accidents the way folks just parked in the road and running across the lanes .
Go ahead leave your red car in traffic while you go see what happened. After someone hits your car you can rescue more people
why would the cops show up when you told them to f off
I hope and pray that everyone was safe and sound that was extremely scary 🙏🙏
Why are the morons stopping in a live lane to run across and check the carnage? Trying for another crash?
So very sad… I'm so very sorry 💔 for the families loss
Oh Yeahghghgh…
That was pretty C👀l…
Is there time at the onset of a heart attack for a driver to pull over or come to a stop? I would if I could.
Love that there are still very good people in this world!
WHAT DID THE RV HIT to cause it to go airborne?
Wow! I'll bet he suffered another heart attack when that bus when over the guardrail! SCARY~!
Neat!!! That was fun to watch! Thx!
Hope everyone was OK
