OUR 7 Year RV Experience | Newbie to FullTime Diesel Pusher Motorhome Owner

Our First 7 Years RV Journey From Newbie to Full Time Diesel Pusher Motorhome Owner!
In This Video we Go through our process of buying 4 different Class A Motorhome/Rv’s in the last 6 years. We describe our Journey and what we have learned. How We Chose A Diesel Pusher Motorhome (Our Journey from RV Newbie). We started out with a 2000 Fleetwood Southwind Gas RV. It was a great and inexpensive choice. We then moved into a 2002 Newmar Mountain Aire Gas Motorhome. Although we loved this RV, it just could not handle the rigors of the road. We then finally overcame our fears and graduated into our Forest River Tsunami Diesel Coach. It was fantastic yet was not homie and comfortable. Therefore we finally found our dream coach. We bought a 2011 Winnebago Tour 42QD Diesel Pusher Motorhome from Bretz RV in Billings Montana. We want to share our experience in learning Gas Motorhome Vs. Diesel Pusher RV (Why We Chose a Diesel Coach).

Great video. My wife and I are in the process of buying our first coach and we are in analysis paralysis trying to find the forever coach. I realize that one doesn’t exist. Thanks!

Ok so I found this by the tsunami, I've had a ton of rvs and use them as recreational, not to live in but I'm looking at a deal on a tsunami 39, how was it mechanically? Do you think I should get it ? Was it a garbage rv? Forest river is not known for quality I know I just sold my fifth wheel. The tsunami I am looking at does not have the aqua hot system , so excluding living in it or aqua hot would you still.say it's a stay away from coach ?

this one meant a lot to me – I have been watching RV youtubers for months to prepare to join you all as we pick up our 1999 National Diesel pusher – TODAY! in4 hrs actually. This video meant most to me because its from a Christian Youtuber (and yes we also follow KYD). We actually are buying from a Christian couple whos Dad had only been able to make a single trip in this rig before he passed unexpectedly….
The truth of what you said about not being afraid to just get started is where we are at – so here we go… hope to find you as we travel and have some time to exchange our stories around the fire.

This video came along at just the right time for me. We started out in a nucamp teardrop then went to a Winnebago Travato then a small class c to a larger class c and just ordered a 37’ diesel pusher yesterday. All were great campers but hopefully this one is the perfect one. I know the floor plan is what we wanted but moving up to a class a is scary for two older women. Thanks again for being real.

Thanks for taking the time to make your videos. Wife and I went and looked at some pushers yesterday just to look to see what was out there with regard to floor plans and such. Thinking about retiring and doing some travelling. You guys are solid and give good advice. Again thanks for making these videos they help folks like us a lot!!

This video is FANTASTIC!! You referred me to this from a previous video. Really helps with focus on my first buy. We will be doing a lot of traveling on not staying in one spot for more than 2 weeks. Make sure my spouse is happy with the layout. You can find coaches with easy access to filters if you want to do your basic maintenance. Thanks a bunch! You guy ROCK and are REAL and FUN to watch!!

Contemplating a 2008 Newmar Essex 4503 diesel pusher… First time buyer and aspiring full timer. Countless reviews and research, still nervous. Your thoughts as Newmar advocates?

Howdy Johnny and Gail ! Great video! I’ve been watching you guys for some time and Learned so much from y’all! Such a blessing to see you guys traveling in Ministry for the Lord! We started looking for and researching to buy a motorhome since last August’s. Looking at the Gas and diesel difference we decided to buy a 2005 NewMar Northern Star diesel pusher With four slides and the king bed. This was in February. Love the smooth ride and how quite it is driving down the road where I can talk to my wife without saying what did you say? Lol! And love the fact that I can level it setting in the drivers seat. Had many bumper pull campers and the last was a fifth wheel . Don’t think we will go back to any of those campers. As of yet we having gone any where yet due to covid -19. We are hoping to get on the road soon. We are trying to get a RV carport built. We have it stored 35 miles away. Tried to start it the other day and battery were dead . Living in the Texas Panhandle we have had some cold days below freezing. After seeing some YouTube videos . Realizing we will need some new batteries! Lol.! Will be glad to get it home and have it plugged in. 🙂 looking forward to our first trip! ….. God bless you guys.. be safe!

What do you think about a 2018 Thor Venetian 40A, we’re about to sign the papers on it next week, we are weekend warriors and we put about 6,000 miles per year on ours ,we currently have a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite class C, we love the sleeping layout but there’s just not enough room if you have company or more of the Family along. This was our first RV and we love rving,I enjoy your videos and commend you for spreading the gospel. God Bless and stay safe, if your coming thru NC you could use our driveway.

I really didn’t get into RVing until after Vietnam. Until then, I had always preferred to just stay in the woods with as little as possible. Fast forward… Since it’s just me now, I’m currently shopping for something new. I love Class A’s but not for me now as a loner. And at my age I seriously doubt my marital status will change. 🙂
Kudos on the current coach choice. I always liked the fact that the majority of Winnebago is actually manufactured in-house and part replacements are direct from the company with just a phone call.

Johnny, sorry if I was a nuisance in Adairsville. I was just excited that there you were right beside me. Really enjoyed meeting you all. Please keep my card and come park in the driveway when you are in the area.
