Ok so I get that your supposed to fill up the toilet bowl and flush it four times at least to cover the bottom of the black water tank after dumping it. But how much water do you run down the sink for the gray water tank exactly? I have been searching all day online for the answer and I have no idea. Please help!? The RV I live in is my first home and RV I ever lived in so I am quite the noob. I didn’t even know until very recently that you have to have lots of water in the toilet before flushing it and that you can fill it with the flush valve.

I have tried many RV Black Tank Treatments from probably all the manufacturers out there. Most of them don't work real well and only are an ODOR preventer, rather than a DIGESTER.
I had used a product called "Happy Camper" for a few years, but found that it doesn't work well in cold weather or when the RV sits for along time.
I am now using a product by UNIQUE Camping and Marine. I prefer the liquid version and it works extremely well. It is an enzyme based product and as long as there is some form of bacteria in the Black Tank (there always is), this product works around the clock devouring the waste in the tank. It breaks down Toilet paper easily too. Helps to eliminate Tank Odors as well. And you can use it in the grey tanks too.

I get very impatient preparing my black tank with the toilet water and started using the flush to add some water to the tank. Is this ok? I do calculate how much water I’m adding and treat it.

We’ve used one ply toilet paper any brand for years, never a problem. I dump dishwasher gel in the sinks and toilet. RV geeks do!
