We’ve been traveling with dogs in our Winnebago Navion full-time for over two years and have learned a lot along the way. Piper and Ella, our seven year old puggles, have gotten used to life on the road and the RV lifestyle. But it wasn’t always easy… Ella had a rough start so we worked hard to make her feel more comfortable and now she loves traveling and exploring all the new places are little home on wheels takes us.
We added a third pup to the mix earlier in 2020 when we were RVing through Mexico. We met Scout on a beach during our island quarantine, quickly falling in love. Helping a dog who had never even been inside get acclimated to tiny living and life on the road was an entirely different challenge. But we’re happy to report that Scout is thriving in her new life. She loves looking out the window on travel days and hiking to all the incredible places we visit!

Very helpful
Thank you so much for this video. Me and my 2 Chihuahuas are about to move in an RV. I am trying to find all the information I can to help make them comfortable. We will be stationary park living so I am looking for a good ramp and a little play area I can set up for them.
I love your idea about using the shower as a bed area for them. They are both kennel trained but there is just not room in the RV to put both of their kennels.
I'm going to subscribe and look through your other videos for more information on rving with dogs.
Love this! I'm solo, with 3 Labrador Retrievers, 33ft Travel Trailer. It is a part time job to manage their needs, clean after them, and enjoy activities with them. Wish I had a husband to share duties, but I don't. Currently, we are at a Lake where they are allowed to swim. Otherwise, I sneak them into fenced tennis courts, ball parks, and go on individual hikes. It is a part time job. I don't recommend it as a solo, but I am buying a new house in 2024, so it's not forever. I would love to see what leashes, tethers, etc you use for them. In RV parks, I try to only have 2 dogs out at a time. Some people get persnickity about more than two. I don't stay unless the management okays 3 labrador retrievers. Since they aren't an aggressive breed, I have almost always been accepted.
Thank you so much for giving such a great example of how to travel with your dogs! We have 3 dogs too and always want to give them their best lives. We also know that there are times we will need to leave them for short periods. I am grateful for your suggestions!
Where is the dog food storage link?
Put stickers on rv that says dogs inside just in case of fires etc so emergency service can know dogs inside
Not only are these people living their best life but so are the dogs. I hope to give my pets this lifestyle someday.
Are you able to find any public or private rv parks that accept your three dogs? Any advice would be appreciated – this is the main concern I have with full time RV living with our four dogs π
how to get a 1 year old to like to ravel?
What about if you are single and work? I'll have to leave my dog. What should I do?
You guys are wonderful, have 3 dogs. In chains to this house Want ur life
How do you deal with k-9 incontinence for lack of a better Phrase?
We have 4 dogs too 2 chihuahuas, chiweenie, and a chihuahua pug mix.
We are looking to live this life. Do you recommend anyone we can talk to about living in an RV?
My husband and I are beginning the process of starting to live fulltime in an RV. We have 3 dogs as well and that has been a huge concern of mine. I have been non stop debating our plans due to those concerns until I just watched your video!! This has helped me feel alot more at ease for our fur babies. Thank you so VERY MUCH!!!
@2:33 omg so cute!!! This was very helpful. I will be living in a RV full time soon and this was so helpful to watch because I have my pups. I worried so much that something would happen or fear leaving them in the RV when I have to go out and about. I also love arlo! I have the essential cameras around my house at the moment they are great. I didnβt even know they had a baby monitor. Thanks for sharing this video! β€οΈ
Rat poison is cruel and an awful way to die; will also kill cats and birds of prey if they get ahold of a poisoned rat. Hope you have switched to another method…such as deterrants, live traps, or at the very least a quicker death for most which is snap traps. Had pet rats before and once tame have personalities more like dogs than any other animal ive had so if you like dogs not sure why youre poisoning animals who are capable of the same emotions.. sorry if it wasnt yours they got into.
Great tips! Our 3 puppers are not this well behaved but they are new to it. Yours look so content and well trained! Thanks!
Thank you.
very very helpful love you guys
I want to know if the dogs react different when they visit new locations or states and what their reaction is? I wonder if it's true..
I do not know how they travel and at the same time care for 3 dogs..I really admire their strength..
