RV Lithium Battery Upgrade / Conversion for Newbies! | Home A Roam How-To/Tutorial
In this episode: Jay explains all of the steps to plan an RV lithium battery upgrade! In the process, we convert our travel trailer from one lead acid battery to a bank of two 100Ah lithium (LiFePO4) batteries from Renogy. This will greatly increase our boondocking capability, and prepare the rig to add more charging sources, including solar panels and a wire from the truck’s alternator.

I’m very new to this field, so thanks for the video. I understand the need for a new charge controller and a battery monitor, but why did you have to buy an inverter also? Would the original inverter in your trailer suffice? Thanks!

Nice thourough video guys, great work! How exactly did you integrate the DC-DC charger with the on board power converter you have there ? Or did you just by pass all together ?
what is the difference of dc-dc 30A and dc-dc 50A?
You've probably gotten a lot of questions, but why didn't you get Battleborn Lithium batteries?

Though we aren't personally in need of this kind of upgrade info ATM, it's so great to know that there is a very informative explanation on how to do this! Excellent! We have to be concerned with our dual AGM's as we use an 80 watt CPAP at night. We don't boon dock enough to justify Lithium but next batteries maybe… Currently have 1000 Jackery (and a Generator) which makes a huge difference. So we're good for 1-2 overnights. Renogy is A1.
I like your simple breakdown for calculating power needs. I assume that fan was noisy because it wasn't mounted but you might want to look at a bigger one as they tend to run a bit quieter!
