  • Do you happen to know of any places around lower BC where I would be able to get wifi? Downloaded Free Roam…did not find anywhere…?

  • Awesome video! Finally I find a video that sums up off grid living in one info. Filled video…super helpful…I knew nothing about this and am about to embark! So thank you!! I am wondering how much solar power you need each day for one person. Also , how much power can one expect to get on a rainy overcast day as opposed to a sunny day? Also…do you know how to get wifi off grid and what kind of power it would take to have wifi on for about six to eight hours a day? One more thing, what are the things that take up the most power? Thanks again!! Best video I have seen so far!

  • Composting Toilet. Clean and rinse dishes with spray bottles as opposed to letting the sink run. "Shower" with an Aquabot spray bottle or two wash cloths and a cup of water. Problems solved.

  • Great video!

When my son graduates I’m looking to sell my house and get a luxury camper and head out to northern Arizona..
    Here are my questions:

    1. Where are you able to setup off grid for long term? National forests? National Parks?
    2. Am I allowed to keep firearms in my camper for hunting and personal protection?
    3. How likely is my trailer to be messed with I.e. cops towing it? Break in?
(Mind you I want to be out in the desert or forest that is not private owned)
    4. Wouldn’t it be easier to dig a 5ft deep sceptic lined with cinder blocks for the black and
    gray water tanks?
    5. I have a 5.7L 2018 Tundra max towing 9800lb (according to the owner’s manual).
People tell me it’s ok to push that limit if needed.
How much leeway do I have if the trailer I want is 9300lb dry?
    6. Kinda back to no. 3 but can I still get a job in town and work while leaving my
camper unmanned for up to 10 hours a day?

If I think of anymore I’ll add them in reply to this comment.

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated as I am tired of paying these ridiculous property taxes and not having a say with the city on what I can and cannot do on my own property.

  • Congrats on breaking the 1K milestone! Great info on living off grid and staying safe. I am surprised that we have already boondocked multiple times over our first two weeks full time RVing and how quickly we fill up the grey tank. Hope Taylor is feeling better.

  • Great video, heaps of good info here! Thanks for sharing. We're off grid (family of 3), but the off grid water is what we need to perfect.
