RV LIVING & RV NEWBIE
Laugh along with us as we recount the numerous crazy events that happened on our first time taking our new RV out! It was a long day as you can see.
We are about to embark on a 1-2 year long journey around the US in this fifth wheel RV with our two young girls as we look for a new place to call home.

Love this rv! What is the make/model/year? Just found you guys, I'll be following! 🙂 we are in the planning phase with hopes of hitting the road this August! 🙂
We are getting ready to go camping for the first time too. It was difficult to try to follow what the gentleman was saying because the wife kept cutting him off. There was a lot of information he had to give but again he could barely finish the sentence. I'm glad to see that the family got through it.
Why does a person that has never been in a camper buy such a monster to try to learn how to camp. Sorry but with all the resources available to research , diy, how to, you tube before you try to go camping out in your driveway. Now that you have learned go to the crowded rv park, it really is quite entertaining to sit and watch people attempt to setup their rig. My wife and i have a system, we achieve level side to side, then front to rear, then she goes inside and setup while i do electrical, water, and sewer outside. Gas grill, carpet, awning, cook table, carpet, lawn chairs, lighting, and doodads. By the way it is a truck not a car. It actually sounded like the wife had never been in the camper…
Love love love this! We've been on the road since October 2016 and just created a "90 Day Family Road Trip" course…to be the support and help for families getting started. My producer just shared with me your Patreon account and we so need to talk. Would love to connect on the road – I so feel your pain – we've had days like this, and funny how many of the things you dealt with we dealt with just starting out as well. 🙂 Going to check out more of your videos, and like I said, would love to connect.
You have great attitudes.
We look forward to watching your videos. Glad we found you. , Old Retired Couple
where's that RV park are? looks beautiful and kid friendly
Only 9 minutes in, and I'm subscribing! OK, now to watch the rest of first adventure.
Now I know what they mean by "working out the bugs". Glad you got them solved.
Just found your channel and have subscribed. Our house is on the market and once sold we plan to set out on a similar adventure. Loved your honesty and transparency! Hope you continue to keep it real….the good with the bad. Will be catching up and watching all your videos. Enjoy your travels!
Tuff
I will!
How about letting the man talk!!
Awesome video.. Totally Dig Your Honesty! I will be starting the full time adventure in the next month of so.. I look forward to being able to laugh at myself..
Like I said before. All you had to do was to plug in the 7 pin cable to the truck and the batteries would charge and the jacks etc would work.
You guys are funny but amazing. Beautiful family.
We have been to that park many times. We really like it there! We are on the west coast of Florida.
what is your 5th wheel? Is it a keystone Montana?
So I guess it's too late to tell you could have just plugged in the pigtail from the 5th wheel into the back of the truck to charge the battery. 🙄
It gets better and easier. The entry and learning curve is steep when you first start – and then your continue to learn and improve for years and decades to come. I remember asking myself if we made a mistake on our first trip. Luckily, other RVers have all been there at one time and are willing to help! BTW, a mattress upgrade is often one of the first mods.
Enjoy the journey and safe travels!
your so tired that had to laugh at your explanations.
Awww. You guys look like you want to just sleep. But these experiences will get fewer with stuff going wrong and exhausting and move on to the journey part. Thanks for sharing.
Have a wonderful fulfilled journey. Mike & I met your family the day of your first trip. I guess i saved your kids. I'm the hot dog lady, TerriSuch a wonderful experience 😎
Oh my goodness! We are about to do the same thing!! Getting our RV in 2 weeks and are going to sell everything. Good luck guys! We were laughing so hard bc we totally know we are gonna go through the same unknowns soon 😂😂
Well, you will get faster and better at set up and take down. It is all about knowing your unit. It would be a miracle if you encountered NO issues the first time out! Girls look great!
Land yacht lifestyle…stuff will be breaking all the time. But it's real fun, keep that mantra in the background all the times, "This is real fun" the key word being "real." Love you guys and thanks for sharing!!!
