RV Tire Pressure for Newbies // RV Living

Hi, we are Marshall and Tonya and our 2 girls (Shih Tzu’s) Phoebe and Penny. We made the decision to sell our home and all our belongings, and downsize to a Class C Tioga RV FULL TIME. We will be documenting our journey along the way, so we hope you will watch and enjoy our story as we travel along wherever the road takes us.

  • Where did you find the chart?

  • Great video and information was spot on , thanks .

  • Just fill air with the load already onboard, with cold tire pressure it should not exceed your max 80psi. Keep in mind the variables that will cause your psi to increase and give enough leeway for safe driving. 70-72 max

  • I have been on the road for 15 years part-time and I never took the time to learn this. After a blowout last September, I appreciate your video, so now I can put the proper air in my motorhome tires

  • I was struggling to understand how to use the charts, until I saw your video! Great job!

  • This was a great explanation and I like how you added the info on weighing your RV. Great job and thank you

  • Thank you so much for invested time. This helped us big time and now we're much more relaxed. We were inflating to tire recommended inflation. Our rear was inflated at 80 lbs. 15 lbs to high.

  • Hi, front 4300lb+rear8600=12900lb
And this is empty according to you.
    You're chart is not correct.

  • Just the info I was looking for Thanks so much for posting !

  • You kind of forgot to mention load range on the tire, Most people who live in their Motor Home's generally are hauling Max load weight all the time.

  • Great info, not new but like many have had so many differences of opinion, First time I knew of the chart, I had to research my specific tire to find a chart, I lucked out and have been driving with the right pressure front and rear, air bags for my class A even more confusing to set the right pressure, the P30 Manual and airbag manual conflict, the forums and different mechanics all have different opinions, so I can only adjust to the ride I like, anyway, thanks for the chart! Stay safe.

  • Thanks for the succinct explanation of a confusing issue. My pet peeve is how small the PSI lettering is on all tires, (cars, motorcycles, bicycles, etc…). Cheers! '03 Fleetwood 26Q

  • How long do tires last on a rig like yours? Obviously I understand the more miles you put on the more the tires are going to be used. Do you have to check these tires every single time you stop and then make adjustments every single stop or is there another regular time that you check these out? Thank you God bless and travel mercies.

  • Keep in mind that is the minimum PSI the tire needs to carry the load. so you want to be a bit higher then the PSI on the chart matching the load weight. I would go as high as possible without making the ride too rough
