Jenni runs for her life from a mysterious animal noise coming from a dark corner inside Cave In Rock. Definitely the highlight of my day.

We decided to stay even longer in the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois to see three beautiful local attractoins: Cave In Rock, Iron Forge, and Rim Rock Recreational Trail. I got a good laugh watching Jenni run for her life from a scary animal noise inside Cave In Rock, we learned how iron was made back in the 1800’s at Iron Forge, and Rim Rock Recreational Trail was chock -full of beautiful rock formations.

  • This typifies freedom! Stay a little longer if you like. We've also left a few days early a couple times. I love your videos!

  • You heard bats~~~ that's what bats sound like in their den.

  • I laugh every time you say saline you put the say in saline it's more( Suh )then (say) all good love your vids. New subscriber

  • The first time we went to the Shawnee Forest we were amazed that we had anything like that Only 4 hours from Indianapolis.

  • I thought that I’ve watched all of your videos … this one just popped up in my YouTube suggested feed. It was a fun video. Thanks for sharing it.

  • 😆 This video was both hilarious and beautiful. Nature is truly breathtaking and mysterious!! Cute couple! 💜💖💙

  • The turtles cross the roads in mass especially in May. If you take one off the road take it to the side he was heading for or it will just be back in the road again. They ARE on a mission.

  • Take it from an old man, encourage her instead of needling her over her fears. It will eventually get old for her and one day she will blow. She is your partner and equal, she depends on you. Comstamt needing or picking on her can make her feel insecure and alone inside. Great sights and I wouldn't be able to go between those walls as close as they were. My clostrophobia would have had me in anxiety mode.

  • Well, that does it. I’m gonna have to go to Illinois now.
Thanks for another great video. I really enjoyed it.
    Happy Camping

  • Whatever that "unknown" noise was down in that cave? I would have done what Jenni did, and booked out of that cave real fast! LOL!! For all you guys know, that could have been the Kraken! Better to clear the cave than to be it's lunch! Glad you both survived 🙂

  • I laughed so hard when Jenni ran out of that cave. She said she wasn’t gonna get killed by the crazy beast living in the dark cave. Lol. Love your videos

  • Love this one as well! Y'all should have kept the turtle! Could have added another pet…lol Y'all are adorable!!! Love y'all so much!!!

  • I've been told to always place turtles in the way they were headed. Thanks for helping this one!

  • Wishing I was there! Hey when it's too hot you guys might try sleeping outside in a large tent. They have massive tents these days, easy to pop up, that would easily accommodate you & your beautiful furry family. A little tip, the farther away you are from objects such as trees, rocks, campers, the cooler it will be. 🙂 Remember the clear night sky is colder than you can imagine due to a almost complete lack of blackbody radiation. If it wasn't for the ground you would quickly freeze just like being in outer space. It's fun to camp in a tent, and very comfortably. They have all kinds of padding for sleeping bags such as the popular self inflating ones. As for tents, countless options. I love the ones where you can unzip the sides and even the top area so you stargaze and watch the beautiful night sky before falling asleep. Although you might want to eventually zip the top part if it gets too cold. Thanks for sharing your amazing life!

  • I'm currently watching your back catalogue and just wanted to say how much I feel you two have improved in doing your videos – in both the technical and in the way your speak to your viewers. Thanks!

  • Sounds of the DEAD…☠

    🙄🤣😂🤣😂

  • Do you not have a generator so you can keep cool?

  • Hmm Early 1900's or early 19th century = 1800's for those oxen travelers? Great adventure, that cave noise was freaky!

  • That cave break and run was straight up Scooby Do, Jen.

  • As I watch your older videos I just have to complement you two on your photography, your narration and music. You really make me want to visit all these places you are sharing. Keep up the great vidoes.

  • Love your dynamics as a couple but you put up with too much Jenni… oh wait, I shouldn’t say that as we are similar and I am always razzing and poking…

  • Wow, looks like some great places to visit! Loved them all. Never knew they were there and we have been through Illinois many times. Next time we will be planning to check them out. Glad you are able to find beautiful places to visit while you wait for the weddings, etc.
