Stuck in a Haze – Sauk Mountain Trail Hike with Brosef – Full Time RV Life

Sauk Mountain offers incredible views of river valleys, North Cascades, the Olympics, and San Juan Islands! Sadly our view was hindered by forest fire haze. Check out the blog post on our website for more details! https://www.fateunbound.com/sauk-mountain-trail/

Oddly enough, the Sauk Mountain Trail in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest was our only nature adventure with my brother Thomas and his girlfriend Amanda during our stay in Seattle despite the ridiculous amount of National Forests and State/National Parks that surround it. However, it was definitely the right choice. The view from atop the ridge line was nothing short of incredible, despite the thick haze from numerous forest fires in the region.

  • Great video guys!! I love the close up footage, then Bam!! the aerial footage. I literally yelled out WHOA!! Nice editing 👍

  • WOW !!!! great shots from the top and the climb made me think of the old Shirley Temple movie called "HeidI"

  • YOU GUYS ARE FANTASTIC AMAZING AND NATURAL.. LOVE YOU AMAZING VIDEOS… GOD BLESS YOU GUYS…

  • Your videos are far superior to others.  You have what it takes for success that's for sure!I love being on this journey with you 🙂

  • This video is probably my favorite of your drone footage. You always make yourselves look magical when filming each other. And I am just in awe of the views. So mesmerizing. Really neat showing you guys at the top and the drone looking around. Watching your videos and seeing everything you guys are, just keeps me motivated in making my RV life dream come true.

  • I see "Pikachu" above your bed (lol)…is that a stuffed animal or does he/it have a purpose other than just being cute? 😀

  • Hello Fate Unbound 🙂 Awesome video! The top of that peak is really up ther! What is the elevation again? Sorry you guys had to deal with the smokey skies while you were there. OK, now, for the "peekas" or "picas". How do you actually spell that? Tried to look them up, but couldn't find because I probably didn't spell it right.

  • My husband and I just started a youtube channel and we live in an RV. So cool to see others traveling and living out there dreams! We hope to travel to some national parks next year.

  • His girlfriend's face looks like Sandra Bullock, who actually attended my High School in 1981 (I graduated in 77)

  • Excellent video. Watching the panoramic views was so relaxing and I'm at work right now (don't tell anybody). Was that a Phantom 4 Pro the drone you used?

  • The last two summers have been the worst for wild fires since I have lived in PNW since 1962. On the bright side, they do yield great sunsets.

  • At least you tried and even if that failed you got to experience it yourselves.

  • Great video! I grew up just a few miles from there and have been up that trail many times. There used to be an old Forest Service fire lookout that was cool to visit, but it was torn down several years ago…

  • LOVED this video! Thanks so much for taking us with you. AMAZING views! Looks like y'all all had a great time!

  • So awesome! Love the scenery. Far cry from Indiana/Ohio. Which is why i had to escape as well to Colorado for two weeks of car camping. 😁 yay! Have fun guys! No pekkas picas around here, lol.

  • Great views and great fun. I’m pretty sure the high altitudes and lack of oxygen is what gave you all the giggles

  • beautiful. I love how Sweetie puts her head on your shoulders. So precious

  • Hi Jenny. I hate switch backs too but that's great you persevered and made it to the top! Well done you! The views from the top definitely looks awesome!

  • Everybody said it all. Two things. your drone footage is to die for…working for National Geographic or PBS?? 🙂

Second you are so cute as a couple. OK now how are you both & lets see one or two of your wedding day photos! Luv you guys….Herb

  • Another great video like all of your videos. We too are stuck in the haze in Colorado. The local news said that today is the worst day in the history of Denver for the smoke from the fires. Take care and keep those great videos coming.

  • Thanks for sharing another great video! We are new subscribers and love your channel. Your animals are adorable, especially Sweetie! You all are such great dog parents. My husband and I love traveling across America with you. We love RVing and hope to do it full time when he retires. Until then, we are just enjoying you folks! Best RV channel ever. You are such an adorable couple!! Blessings new friends. 🙂

  • Loved seeing and hearing you guys laugh on the mountain. Laughter makes me happy!

  • Great hike! Gorgeous area!
Great you all got to see the meteor shower! Rained all
3 nights here in New England!
What's a loveable dog! I grew up with rottweilers. Thank you two for burning the midnight oil!!

  • That was a wonderful hike even with the haze. David's photography is awesome. The drone footage in this video was jaw-dropping. Of course, Sweetie stole the show.

  • I have had that. I take a lens out of a cooler environment into a hotter very humid environment and it fogs over immediately. I sympathize! Were you shot the next day after your very late night? It is hard to realistically plan the next day after a late late night. I hope you guys were realistic and patient with yourselves!

  • Holy crap! That’s some SERIOUSLY breathtaking scenery! The spectacular photography, coupled with Thomas’s overgrown maneating mountain hamster/stoned road runner impression, makes this your best video yet. Bravo Zulu

  • Most affectionate pup ever, go Sweetie! Thanks for taking us viewers along for the hike and sharing the breathtaking scenery. Glad you packed the drone along for the long shots. The only way I'll ever make it up that mountain is in a sedan chair, (I'm old.) Anybody know how much to tip the porters?

  • Wow must add Sauk Mountain to my bucket list! Beautiful! Seems too long since you guys posted a hiking video. Nice seeing you all, especially Sweetie!!

  • This was a great video with some beautiful views – in spite of the haze! I'm getting a lot of great travel and camping ideas from you guys, as I intend to purchase an RV soon, myself. PLUS, I love how sweet and lovingly spoiled Sweetie is. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing your adventures – the good, the bad, the ugly and the wonderfully fantastic – with us!

  • I bet you guys slept well!!! Good sleep… good tired…. I want some more of this 😆😉 even without the meteor shower

  • That was some incredible pictures and drone shots… yay!! Thank you bunches. Love meteor showers

  • Jenny I love it when you’re like “ this hike it easy for you” that is so me with my husband all the time…lol
