  I started with the Vagabond and found the shield 🛡️ to be so helpful against the Apostle. For anyone having a hard time maybe grab a shield to block his sword attacks.

• Hey, little tip for people struggling with this !
  After probably a 100 tries yesterday (ran out of sleep pots after 10 tries, tried with spirit ashes only), I actually checked the comment section.
  So you can indeed stand in the corner of the left pillar and wall, I used rotten breath only (4 times but only 2 of these did apply the rot), and finished with basic attacks from the dagger, applying bleed (had ran out of FP).
  So this was without spirit ashes or sleep pots, and without poison mist as well.
  Actually managed it first try when I did this trick !

• So what I did in the godskin fight was, if you go immediately left in the room, to behind the obelisk then the boss will just path back and forth throwing fireballs. This gives you a good chance to get setup, and/or to apply rot. I got rot on him early and then waited. When it expired he was in phase 2 and I bubbled and smacked him with a sleep pot. Then I did poison and rot again. He got down to 1 health but didn't die, so in the end I just summoned my dogs and let them hit him once. I could have also whacked him with the dagger or another spell. This made the fight super easy, although rather boring. If he does get close to you you can run diagonal to the far opposite obelisk, wait for him to path over there and then run all the way back to the first one and he'll go back to his back and forth dance.

• If you struggle (like me) you should get the Crystalian Ashes summon which you can find nearby without needing to kill any enemies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwTRu4cT_Xw
  This makes the battle faaar easier. Summon the spirit when he switches to phase 2, and then let it tank the rest of the fight.
  (Oh and for other first time players, you need to hold in the dragon rot breath button for it to proc enough to cause the debuff.)
  If you don't have the FP to summon the spirit, just grind a few levels against the mob outside the boss chamber.
  Strat against the mob: initiate with fully charged dragon rot breath, then kite using the stairs to maintain distance, while spamming Reduvia at him.

• What would be a good second weapon to put on Black Flame Tornado just for the flair of using more of those skills?

• Heads up, there’s a pillar to the left when you step into the arena that will make godskin maintain a distance & not agro you. You can stand in the corner behind the pillar right up against the wall & GA will keep the pillar in between you & cast fireballs that won’t hit. You can peak the corner when he backs up & hit him with rot breath that will tick down while you stand behind the pillar. Easy W

• you should add the other big abilitys he use.. like the spinning weapon and when he spinns flames around himself outwards. otherwise great guide.

• Damn this was way harder than you made it look. Took probably 30 attempts and about 15 sleep pots lol

• the bus i'm on is a struggle one. i was able to do everything in the guide without issue, but the distance of the projectiles from the dagger screw me alot.. i also ran out of sleep pots and hate my life. i've burned through about 10 or more and keep getting killed to his tornado spin move or something. without sleep pots and using the dog i've been able to proc rot and i've gotten him to about 25% but end up dying because of no pots. also he starts speed walking alot which… yeah.. i'm terrible at elden ring but found myself decent in DS1 and Sekiro for some reason. Great guide and i'll comment again when i finally beat this bastard
