  • So what would you say from your personal opinion is a good brand to buy I mean you’ve been obviously doing this for a while now you’ve seen a lot of goods so if you have the money which one would you buy and why would you buy that one

  • Popping, You are Just so comfortable talking on camera. The little laughter here and there, I feel like you’re talking to me and I guess that’s why you have so many people watching you. Ok plus you’re easy on the Eyes That I’m sure helps. Alright I’m going to watch some more videos

  • I sure wouldn't want to pay for the repair bill on that full length slide if it was to ever break down, I saw a video from someone who said it almost cost him $14,000 for a ten foot slide repair the motor had let go and his slide had the fridge and stove on it, and it wasn't even on a high end motorhome.

  • The best toy hauler is Grand Design 374th or 376th which has a "toy box" under the bed which is in the back. The toy box is just big enough for the Harley!

  • Boy! Interesting! You really covered a lot! Nice! Mostly out of my price range —loking for a lowly Class C.

  • Friends of mine have a 5th wheel with a rear kitchen and a patio off of the side of the kitchen rather than the rear. Made by Forest River. Really nice.

  • Thank you Pippi. Just yesterday my wife and I went out to see a truck camper. They are a new way to live in permanently in Europe.
While this truck was neat I wondered if we'd have enough room for three adults (and two dogs) 😆.
a Fifthwheeler (or large truck) with a rear tailgate would fit me Wonderfully.
    Thanks for giving clarity.

  • Half way through the video, so I don’t know if you covered this, but I wanted to comment in case I forget. A big decision (for me) was the fridge. It is an expensive appliance and many of the fifth wheels geared towards full time living have residential fridges. While they are bigger and look great, they don’t run on propane. So if you’re out and about and don’t have a generator, say goodbye to keeping things cold. When buying my fifth wheel I wanted as much versatility as possible, because, well, things happen lol.

Edit: Two minutes after resuming the video, you mentioned the refrigerator issue 😂

  • THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE RV, THANKS FOR SHARING. IT "S JUST A DREAM FOR ME TO HAVE ONE.

  • There is a toy hauler with front cargo bay / large open room, and rear bedroom. The Outback. Use the front cargo bay for your office, for 4-wheelers, or for a nice big 2nd bedroom (there's a built-in pull down queen bed.) Slides make it almost ideal. Btw, many toy haulers have the built-in generators, a nice feature.

  • These RVs really are something else; more luxurious than most British houses. I don't see many 5th wheels here, the most common things we have are campers and caravans (which I guess you know as Travel Trailers). Most of those aren't anywhere close in terms of luxury.

  • Outstanding job Pippi! When we were looking for a 5th wheel, I was also leery of an Open Range Light we looked with the cable slides. I had never seen them before, but had visions of a cable snapping at the worst possible moment. To be honest, I never did any research on them for durability because we ended up with a different type. So not really sure how they hold up.

  • Pippi you said you got your last RV for a good price from the couple who needed to sell it right away so did you pay cash or did you have to get a loan?

  • Amazing rigs, not for everybody unfortunately… Who would not love to live in these huge motorhome?

  • always get diesel or you are limited to 12k or less and higher rpms witch is harder on the motor

  • Why can't RV, class B manufacturers use some of the methods used in making living spaces that transform into something else. Such as sliding doors and/or walls. Fixtures that can retract, slide, fold or transform into something else.

  • All the variety is amaaazzzing. I imagine the camping and lifestyle options must be really different for each. Depending on the type of places one imagines going and staying in an rv could also be a factor. I’m leaning toward state parks, public lands, maybe a piece of property to go land at as home, with full hookups, near the Columbia River…. if I don’t keep my house. Pippi, could you talk about the lifestyle considerations of the different types of rigs?

  • Thank you, Pippi for the tour and inciteful and knowledgeable information. You gave a lot of  things to think about. Very enjoyable and restful for me. I missed seeing Bobby Gene but I think he is around there somewhere. No tired feet or exhaustion. You did  all the work. Safe travels and I am enjoying your trip.

  • Really nice video Pippi…thank you for taking the time to do this video.

  • Kinda sad you didn't show any class c rvs Pippi.. That's what we plan on getting would Love to see class c's…. But Thank you for the tours of other ones…Hugs…

  • Yay, made it to the end 🙂 … lots of cool tips, though i feel you forgot one major one when deciding between an RV and a Travel trailer or 5th wheel, which is the option to move around after you got where you were going. Ditching the living space to free up your car sounds like a big advantage over having to tow your car or 'pack-up' for every little trip … Would also like to mention that from all the floor plans i seen by now, the one near the end of this video, with the living in the middle and the kitchen at the back looked the nicest and most homely to me, would be my choice tbh. 🙂

  • Thanks for the tour in Disneyworld, no wait, that’s a hundred miles to northwest. But it seemed like a fantasyland trip with all those beautiful modern, even futuristic, homes on wheels. Haven’t they come a long way in recent years in design! I wanted to go as it is just up the road from me but I didn’t feel like walking and walking. Hard to believe they are the subject of so many consumer complaints. I guess that just means you always have to have a Plan B. I haven’t spent a day in a trailer or RV yet but I continue to survey the situation in order to do it right if at all. The fifth-wheel approach has definite advantages, as Pippi points out, it’s just that it takes a big one-ton truck. Thanks for the VIP tour Pippi.

  • Why would van dwellers oppose big fifth wheels? I've never seen any evidence that they oppose anything in particular since the lifestyle is founded on maximum freedom. You are projecting your own dislike for van dwelling upon those who live in small vans. Something in you might oppose van dwelling but that doesn't mean they oppose anything about your lifestyle choices. You're just projecting.

  • I have to be honest, I really don't find much enjoyment in viewing things like this that I know I will never be able to afford or own. I'd rather be realistic and look more at people's ingenuity in making what they can afford feel more like home and maximize living space, storage space, etc. You do good work Pippi, but tours like this just isn't for me personally.

  • Thanks for the mention, I love your videos. this was really good. Made me appreciate My used Newmar Country Star (2000) it's very well built and I couldn't be happier, saving for new tires, and emergency fund for traveling, and I'm Gone from Macon Ga.

  • Good walk thru on RVs and great tips. A few things I looked for in a RV is can you use the RV with the Slides In? I found that I pull my slides in the night before if it is raining, snowing or if there will be ice on the roof when I need to go up and sweep the slides before bringing the slides in as I camp in late fall and it can snow. ( I know there are toppers for slides but that has a lot of possible problems too) Can you sleep and eat in your RV encase you need to pull over because of weather or you are just tired and there isn't room to put your slides out. I noticed none of the RV bedrooms you walked through had a bedside table. I need a bedside table for my medical stuff and it is a great place to but the cell phone and book. I also saw no charging stations in the bedrooms and maybe they did have these in other areas, but we all have to charge cell batteries, camera batteries and laptops. My current fifth wheel has 12v and USB charging stations in the bedroom, Kitchen and family area. Alot of people think that 4 seasons is for the hunter or someone camping in the winter. I have a true 4 season RV and it stays cooler late into the afternoon on a sunny summer day whereas my friend's 4 season rated trailer heats up 6 hours earlier. Yes my weights more and cost more, but I use my RV a lot and it was worth the cost for the benefits. You need to make a list of what is very important down to what is nice before you going shopping.
