  • I had to watch an oldie I miss u guys on the road

  • LIKED, COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBED.
DUKE and I hit the road this week full time.
I don’t know how he sleeps with the gun range ear muffs on. Haha
I did buy a pistol for protection though.
    See you on the road.
    Love from TEXAS,

  • You mentioned using ear muff type hearing protectors. You said that they were the type used at a shooting range. Just so the viewers are aware, there are different types of hearing protection. The ones used at shooting ranges are designed mostly for impact or percussion type sound attenuation. Be sure to use hearing protection that is designed to attenuate more constant noise like you'd have at a construction site. Both types come in either the muff design or the earplug designs.) The constant noise type will be more effective and likely will be more comfortable too as they are engineered for long term wear and not just an hour or so at the range.

  • I've had the unfortunate experience of trying to sleep with ear plugs and sound muffs and almost invariably awaking with ear pain for anything longer than 20min. Please be aware that ear covers/plugs may not work for everyone. Chances are decent that people who get regular ear or sinus infections may have this trouble. So, test before counting on it 😉 . But it is a great idea for those who can swing it. 👍

  • OK Buddy………… Let Me show You how to get a real nights sleep. Drop Your Boxer Shorts and I'll Drain Your HAIRY Nut Sacks!!! You'll sleep like a Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    You are Welcomed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please don't use truck stops unless there are RV parking spots.

  • Can u hook up an playstation in room or in front.

  • Lmao ….I sleep with white noise on my ear buds…….I have got so desperate to use earmuffs when my neighbors were reroofing there house…..we now are backyard camping and I have like 5 roosters and it is horrible…..earbuds or earplugs work great 👍🏼

  • Stay out of truckstops, truckers have to deal with hours of service laws and need those spots

  • Ok… y'all need the orange ear plugs you use at the range. Unfortunately my husband and I snore. Yes, I snore (I admit it). He puts a little olive oil on them (don't really understand his madness). For me I put them in and good night me. Love your videos. Trying to catch up on older videos now. Be safe.

  • I bought a select comfort RV mattress when I was trucking. I will be using it in my camper build.

  • Tip for sleeping in an RV: lay on the bed. Close eyes. Sleep. Really dumb video. Attempts at humor were very poor.

  • Do y'all have to pay yearly taxes on the fifth wheel? We do. It makes me sick.

  • Hi there. Stumbled upon your channel and immediately subscribed. You two remind me of my DH and I. We call him "the mayor" because he will talk to a telephone pole if he thought it would talk back. I've been retired five years from law enforcement, was a deputy in Florida. Waiting 31 months (who's counting) for him to retire. We have a jeep (3 really) and plan on downsizing and upgrading from travel trailer to Diesel Pusher Class A. Like you really needed to know all that. Squirrel (yes, I'm that one), what I was really writing was to add to the sleeping thing- don't forget to adjust your a/c or heat before you get in bed. Because it's a pain in the arse to get up and go to the thermostat while you're trying to wind down from the day. Now I like it cold, because of these internal power overloads I get. He's the opposite, I'm cold. Well put some more damn clothes on. Anyway, hope to catch you live next time! Be safe. All who wander are not lost, they might have just escaped!

  • I bought the wife eye covers because she complained that she needed it totally dark to sleep, so she put them over the alarm clock and they have been there for years.  I listen to positive inspirational stuff at night with ear buds, I need all the help I can get. Funny video, I enjoy watching.

  • What did he say? Walmart again? Is there no other place to shop?

  • Can't wait to start our RV life… Heading out for the first time in less than a week…SO much to learn 😀

  • them headphones look very uncomfortable, I would use foam expandable ear plugs that you roll up first before putting them into your ears & they work great. 🙂

  • hello from Canada. Thank you for this very valuable information .You are both fantastic and thank you for being so candid and showing us your bedroom :0 lol. it's a big deal what you are doing and it's a really great teaching tool for all of us who dream about the good life free of mortages and taxes and maintaining a traditional home. I wish you both the best of life, health and happiness. Peace and Love

  • Ok, I subbed you guys about 6mos ago, but this is the first time that im commenting. You have a lot of great vids, but this one is the cutest, funniest one yet lol. Keep 'em coming…Cheers!

  • I just stumbled upon you videos today and I do enjoy them. One thing though. You mentioned parking your RV at truckstops and I assumed you meant over night. Please, never park in the truck areas overnight. In many areas of the country there is a severe shortage of overnight truck parking. That spot you take could go to that driver who's driven eleven hours and badly needs the rest. You of course have just as much right to park there but you have a lot more flexibility than commercial driver.

  • Ear muffs and smoke alarms.  Not a good match.

  • What things from wal-mart for blacking out are you referring to?

  • I replaced the light colored pull down blinds in my travel trailer with some custom sized chocolate colored blinds and it made a world of difference in my ability to enjoy my sleep, especially in the morning when the sun comes up. With the old shades, the trailer lit up like crazy first thing in the morning. Now it stays pretty dark and I get to sleep a little later!

  • I think it is great that you guys offer all the great tips. I am sure the tips are helping a lot of people. Keep up the great videos!!

  • as we both know you are new to the rv lifestyle
take more information from others before giving advice

  • My honey is the same way, head hits the pillow and he's out…me..I take hours. We've slept at truck stops as well when traveling and they can be very noisy. Blocking out the light is good.. a lot of times parking lots have bright lights and trucks coming and going shine lights into your rig as well, so you do need to block the light, Thanks for the video funny and informative.
