Haha. I live near an overhead train track. Once a month an RV pushes their luck and looses their roof..
I cannot believe how often it happens. Locals hardly blink now. Just another loopy.. lol

    1) Always have a checklist for setting up and tearing down.
    2) Always CHECK the dang checklist!
Emotions (happy or sad) can make you skip some vital steps if you don't adhere to your checklist.

Flip the little plastic holders to the side on your outside stove vent. Your hood vent is clamped down for travel to keep bugs and debris out. If you don't unclamp it, your vent hood can't vent. We were camping for years before someone brought that to our attention.

Write your rig height on your, visor, windshield or rearview mirror so it's readily available when you're driving down unknown road.

I had an 8 ton converted Viking school bus 1958 that someone had put a 250 Camaro race car engine and a matching small shifting setup. Met the owners who did it at a rest stop and asked why? It goes and goes they said. However it had no torque so 70mph on highway dropped to 25on hills. Ouch!

Make sure your cat (or a strangers) hasn't decided to sneak in to investigate your rig.

You can buy a regulator that automatically switches from the empty tank to the full. That way the "empty" tank is actually empty when you go to fill it. And it still sucks getting up at 3 am to switch over. Plus if you're off the grid you don't want your propane fridge getting warm.

How about not ignoring emptying the sani tank. Doesn't smell great while sloshing through the rockies at 60 mph!
