TOP 10 Newbie Travel Tips!

Everyone is a mixture of emotions for their first trip. I remember feeling this overwhelming sense of going on an adventure. It may have only been a short trip to Amsterdam, but it was exciting and new. I had a backpack full of clothes and no sense what lay ahead of me. I distinctly remember wandering the canals for hours on my first day after not grabbing a map or phone when I walked out of my hostel.

Since our first trips abroad we’ve now been to over 60 countries and spent over four years of our lives traveling. Our travel style since those first days has changed, but the same travel tips that we learned have not. We still hate itineraries, too little time, and saying no.

These travel tips are to help any new or perhaps seasoned traveler on their next trip.

  • I love your tips. I'm by no means a newbie traveler but I do have non-travelers ask me many questions and sometimes I struggle finding the right words to describe travel. Thanks for sharing – I love your tip about not focusing on capturing the perfect photo.

  • My favourite tip "Go for it". Ever since I started travelling I have done so many things I could have never imagine of doing but I did it for instance bungee jumping, skydiving and travelling by my self. Thanks for sharing.
