TOP 1O WAYS TO RUIN YOUR RV TRIP (KYD VANCOUVER CANADA)

Join us for KYD Coffee ☕️ These are smaller meet-ups with the KYD Insiders https://www.patreon.com/KeepYourDaydream
We love the big meet-ups, but they take a lot of planning and preparation. KYD Coffee is fun and easy.

ℹ️About the episode: We mentioned in last week’s Alaska recap that the drive home from Alaska was much harder, but it didn’t have to be that way! It was our fault for being in a hurry, running low on groceries, waiting until the last minute to get fuel and driving late into the night. All these little bad decisions compiled and created fatigue and grumpy moods.

How did we kill the endless hours driving in the truck? Coming up with the Top 10 Ways to Ruin Your RV Trip. We hope you get just one idea that will help you on your next RV trip.

I noticed you never seem to have the “flying insect screens” around your heaters, vents, etc. No issues with wasps without them?

As for limiting your travel per day, I have based my travels on the rule of 4, no more than 4 hours in the saddle (traveling) and set up at your destination by 4 PM.

Thanks for the tips on how to park a big rig. Love learning how you guys deal with the intricacies of traveling with such a big rig. That is definitely the hardest part for me when out in an rv.

to answer your question, Yes, there is a bylaw that the buildings in that area you were in have a "green tint" in the glass to look consistent. And one reason why it looks like Toronto is the same builder built the highrises in both cities (Concord Pacific)

Actually it was kind of refreshing to see and hear Marc pissed off for a change. It shows the human side and that not everything is peaches and cream all the time. Love all your videos. Thanks!

I can’t tell you how important it is and how much I appreciate the respect you two have for each other’s (main) responsibilities….for instance it is so hard as a mom to keep everybody fed and have food on hand to be prepared when the husband has to fight about letting me go get groceries, then is angry because there is no meal when you get to your destination (home, camping, traveling)….ugh, I’m so glad those days are over ! Now the kids are grown, he’s an ex and I buy too many groceries 🙄
Anyhow your respect for each other and for your children is very evident and very refreshing !!!

Did a trip around the US, 8000 miles in 30 days. Saw a lot but it was an insane schedule, especially when we broke down twice which messed up the schedule and we had to skip some things. Like your way of doing things.

Have you guys used any of the car share riding apps when in new places to save on parking or fuel costs? If not is it because of the remoteness of the locations and parks?

We carry a big tank of water in the bed of our truck with a little gas powered pump so we can refill our water while dry camping. We then don’t have to worry about using all our water. It fills our tank about 3 times. If we are somewhere dry camping for an extended time period or with friends who tent camp but use our toilet and shower I will run to a nearby town and fill our bed tank again when it gets low. It takes a lot of stress out of dry camping.

I try not to do more then 500 miles a day at the most, most of the time less if possible. I also never let my fuel tank get below 1/2 full, thats gives me plenty of fuel to find suitable diesel fuel station. I also fill my DEF tank before each trip and carry a 5 gal diesel fuel can.

8:20 you were talking about backing in to a camp site when it's and you could ruin the sleep of people sleeping. That comment made me wonder if people in the back of your trailer while you're driving…do you?
